I was listening to an old-time radio drama, and the plot involved marijuana.
The show was Tales of the Texas Rangers from 1951, and the lead characters were after a couple of guys growing marijuana.
They said of one of the bad guys, "Be careful! Anyone who smokes that stuff can snap and become a killer at a moments notice!"

7. In the '70s it made the rounds of the "art" houses, and...
aside from the requirement that you be wrecked to watch it, it was one of those rare attempts that were so bad they were good. "Robot Monster" made it up there, but most of those, like "They Saved Hitler's Brain", were simply embarrassing.
FWIW, the first time I saw it was back in the late '60s in Arnheim, Netherlands. Besides legal whorehouses, the Dutch were pissing off the rest of Europe with lax drug laws.
Nixon gave Germany a few million to solve its drug problem, so it decided it had a drug problem. It already had legal whorehouses, so could only jump on the Dutch over pot and acid.
Now that I think of it, I was too stoned back then to know what was actually going on.
