i found my box of noxious shirts

In life, one tends to accumulate the risky or outrageous shirts. Dad had a bunch, I have mine. We were not allowed to have them or wear them overseas. Things like Pork Eating Crusader, Infidel, or Allah FUBAR. Several are much less polite. They are also not all Middle East oriented. I have one from the Red Horse about Got Zika. They accumulated in a box here at home. I found them this AM. Now I have to decide if I am going to wear them. Of course I had been accumulating new ones. One of my latest and I have already gotten some comments over it. Sadly most people do not understand it.

2. I wore that one while in school a few times after a nasty incident

However, today is much more politically correct. If I were to be able to attend a Women's Rally, I might wear it just to annoy Linda Sarsour.

5. Not then. I am sure I would now

Something about a lack of tolerance or other such nonsense. I would couch it as feminist based position. I am in San Diego, not Dearborn, so there is little physical risk.

3. I tend not to

wear clothing with words on it.

Same thing with bumper stickers.

Some things just end up attracting the attention of haters and people who just don't understand certain forms of humor.

6. Indeed, some of them have no sense of humor

Its even worse if you are minority and are off the reservation as I am in some areas.

7. I bought a handful of magnetic "Save the Whales" bumper stickers at a good price, then pasted..

... more relevant messages over them! If my car were to be parked in an iffy location I'd put the magnet-backed sticker in the car to preserve my paint job...

11. So you have bumper stickers with no words on them? I bet that keeps those behind you guessing!

15. I love reading bumper stickers, especially on cars that have like 20 or so.

I don't care about the politics either. It's just that I think, "boy, that person has something they really want to say," so I read because they're trying sooooo hard.

8. Professor Dad called himself Progressive

Any examples of slogans he wore that would back that up?

9. I know he had an Infidel one, because I bought it for him. Not sure if he wore it much

And he fit the classic definition. He was an outlier in many ways. Most were sports related IIRC, he was much more into that than the rest of us.

12. Damn iver can't you think of any, I sure can...

Why not start off with your typical vile leftist filth that I used to see regularly around the wonderful institute of higher indoctrination in this town, "Impeach Bush"

Did that kick start the old grey matter for you?

13. well you see, son,

You need to follow the thread.

My question was about some progressive slogan that "progressive professor" dad might have adorned his pullovers with.

And I'm afraid that probably just wasn't in his repertoire.

You don't get the joke, but that's okay.
