I've got to try this! Black eyed pea and sweet potato hash

http://www.veganricha.com/2016/12/black-eyed-pea-sweet-potato-hash.html

I love this woman's recipes, she is a genius in the kitchen. I've got everything for this except for the harissa spice blend and the greens but I do have green leaf lettuce I can add after it cooks, and I can sub cayenne and garlic for the harissa. I hope this tastes as good as it looks!

5. Looks good.

I have been doing an on-line fitness and nutrition program since July, (have lost a good bit of weight too!) and in the last month we have been doing an eating experiment each week. One full day of trying different things, like vegan, paleo, even fasting for 24 hours. Oddly for me, the paleo day was the hardest! Who would've thought? But the restriction of grains and dairy was harder than I thought it would be, in terms of planning three family meals (not that I think the paleo fad is ANYTHING near what our ancestors were eating)

Anyway, through this program I have come to appreciate sweet potatoes. I only really knew them as gross marshmallow-covered goo once a year at thanksgiving.

6. Paleo - like the cavemen ate, but what was their life span? 10, 12 years?

Or maybe 20. Anyway, that shuts up people who try to preach paleo to me. LOL

Sweet potato fries with barbecue sauce are one of God's favorite foods, I hear. I have them 2 or 3 times a week!
