No folks, you're not seeing things. Dem be Birds! People carrying umbrellas, not for rain, but bird poop. Starlings. No matter what authorities try, they can't scare them away. And you think your city has pigeon problems?

2. I don't think we have starlings here in the USA

but they darken the skies in some parts of Europe.

The European Starling, introduced to North America in 1891, has had a significant impact on our native birds. In particular, its intense competition for nesting cavities has had a negative impact on many cavity-nesting species such as Bluebirds, woodpeckers and Purple Martins.
