Video shows American sailor apologizing for Iran incident

A video aired Wednesday by Iranian state television shows an American sailor apologizing for entering Iranian waters, an embarrassing development for a U.S. administration trying to paint the service members' quick release as a diplomatic victory.

"It was a mistake that was our fault and we apologize for our mistake," said the U.S sailor, who was identified by Iran's Press TV as the commander. "It was a misunderstanding. We did not mean to go into Iranian territorial water. The Iranian behavior was fantastic while we were here. We thank you very much for your hospitality and your assistance."

In the same Iranian television interview, the sailor said, "The Iranian patrol boat came out when we were having engine issues and had weapons drawn, so we tried to talk to them until more boats came out and took us in."

In contrast, U.S. officials have said that there were no signs that the incident was a hostile one, and have not cited a specific cause for the boat straying into Iranian waters.

Something doesn't make sense.

2. Republicans apologize for nothing...

Proof can be found in the 4,500 dead American soldiers sent into Iraq on a flotilla of lies.

4. Yes, that's what I'm saying. They had nothing to apologize for and Iran used them for propaganda

before they let them go.

Kerry didn't apologize

Earlier in an official statement, the Iranian navy claimed that that Kerry apologized for the “incursion” into Iranian waters. State Department spokesman John Kirby strongly denied that accusation on Twitter.

IRAN: KERRY APOLOGIZED TO US, BIDEN: NO WE DIDN'T
According to Obama Inc. and its various arms, two boats encountered mechanical problems and then Iranians were nice enough to take care of their crews. According to Iran's IRGC, an international terror group, they were arrested after invading Iranian waters.

5. LOL

used them for propaganda

You mean like cons use any crime at all by blacks, immigrants, etc in their propaganda war? Ok.

Anyway, Soldiers under duress, caught in iranian waters (whether boat had issues or not), and instead of going down in flames and dying a hero they are like 'hey, sorry, shit happens'.....and cons are pissed about it.

They always want to use guns and wars to get their way on everything. Hell, the iranian soldiers were probably a little scared as well of a drone/missile strike and were glad to not be in the middle of a political fight between people like hard liners in Iran and the rw hardliners here who each would use their soldiers for propaganda (and, I might mention, cons are using this whole thing that was as well).
