China quietly cuts off the cash flow to North Korea

This is huge and nobody's reporting it. Chinese support is the only think keeping the North Korean dictatorship going. It's people are starving in massive numbers but, as long as they can continue to pay their military they stay in power. What happens when the paychecks stop? Will it put an end to this piece of garbage?

1. Well, well, well would ya look at that?

Trump's not even President and what he said resonates all the way to China.

3. yeah, they heard Trump all the way over in China and said

Gosh, that Trump is so smart. We never thought about doing anything to reign in NK. And we never would have if it wasn't for that super-smart and intelligent future President the great Trump.

Yet another example of the magical thinking of Trump supporters.

6. Why a "severe" eye roll -

your post sure sounds like you're a Trump supporter.

I'll take your word for it that this isn't the case.

2. My gut says this is a good thing, but ...

I don't see Kim going quietly. I hope that if it all starts to come crashing down around his ears, the crazy little fucker doesn't start lashing out indiscriminately.

5. It does give one pause

I can only hope the accounts of intelligence and defectors are true in that much of their equipment is either inoperable or poorly maintained, and that their soldiers are as poorly fed and trained as claimed.

I know China's worst nightmare is several million N.K. refugees storming the Tumen and Yalu Rivers in search of food and shelter. I don't particularly like China, but I understand how that would be a serious problem.

7. If this is true, then the only chance the "Dear Chubby Leader" has is to move south.

This may explain why this years "Foal Eagle" and "Key Resolve" joint exercises by the U.S. and South Korea are so large this year.

If he can't keep his military fed, he's done. End of story. Hopefully what replaces the Kim dynasty will be better for the North Korean populace. I hate to tempt fate, but it's hard to see how it could be worse.

8. I don't believe it.

China is pissed at the US for its buildup in the China Sea.

Even more so with the advent of them anti-missile defense systems (THAAD) that are being considered for South Korea.

They'll keep Kim in their pocket, they don't wanna seem him go crazier than he already is.

He makes a good pretty buffer should the USA gets too aggressive on their coast.

I think they'll try to keep Kim happy enough so they don't lose control of him.

9. If the US just said sorry for starting

the Korean war, removed our troops from the DMZ and told them they are a nuclear power they will stand down.

This will stabilize both Koreas and provide a way for both Koreas to become one with Pyongyang being the capital.
