2. Media Blah! Blah! Blah!

I don't work in mainstream media, but I have taken a new interest in observing its effect. Where? At the salon I go to and in my high school classroom. I will bring up a trending topic to ask what they think. I am amazed that 9 out of 10 times neither my stylist nor my students know what I am talking about. Then after the topic has been exploited by the mainstream media, they only know one side of the story. Critical thinking goes out the window. They are only critical of whomever the mainstream media is critical of.

3. Your stylist is probably also on the school board.

They often are.

They can campaign one boofy hairdo at a time and never leave the office.
