Spain Nears 300 Days Without a Government

Wish that would be the case here in the USA?

It's kind of hard to understand something like this. It goes with the parliamentary form of government where the majority chooses a prime minister who then appoints a cabinet equal to our executive branch department heads. In this case, it's a matter of Spaniards not caring whether a new government is formed or not?

Why should they?

Spanish cities are boasting of packed cafes and restaurants, thriving fashion shops and art galleries, plenty of tourists. The overall impression is of a bustling, vibrant country.

1. No governmnent just means...

Nobody is colluding to rob you blind, spy on you, and hold you in utter contempt, these days. I think the same thing happened in Slovakia a few years ago. Nobody seemed to notice their either.

3. Spain Hasn’t Had a Federal Government for the Last 9 Months — and People Love It

http://theantimedia.org/spain-no-federal-government/

Despite the lack of government at the moment, life goes on without interruption. Welfare recipients in Spain are still receiving their benefits, and basic government employees are still paid. The streets are not littered with trash, and public trains and buses continue to operate.

However, there are some major differences from life with a national government. Spain has been unable to pass national legislation, handle foreign affairs, or fund new government projects. This means no new invasive, authoritarian laws can be passed by corrupt government officials.

During the Spanish Civil War, in Catalonia, the Anarchists were asked to form the government, but they stayed true to their principles and refused.

4. Finally a counry on planet Earth which has figured it out: No Government! No Bureaucracy!

That means 'No Red TAPE' to suck the life out of the public; why can't America be like that?

Politicians & Bureaucrats are the ones who have colluded against our public trust by making LAWS which both use to carry on their own personal agendas.

Can't wait to see what happens next ...!

8. Some people hate the idea of the American Government and want it gone

No shock the right is the group that most wants to remove the government we have had for so long - all because they hate someone.

In-depth thinking right there folks.

9. There's a weird mutual fund

I haven't looked at it in years.

Any way the guy who runs it goes 100% on US stocks when Congress is out (holiday breaks, election recess). When they're in he moves to money markets, treasuries safe stuff.

Did pretty well when I followed it.
