FORT BRAGG, N.C. - More than a dozen soldiers were injured Thursday in an explosion at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Fort Bragg officials said the explosion happened on a training field.

WTVD initially reported that 15 soldiers were taken to Womack Medical Center. The number was later revised to "at least eight." It was not immediately clear how badly the soldiers were hurt.

In a statement, officials with U.S. Army Special Operations Command said that eight personnel were injured in a demolitions training incident that involved both students and cadre at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School.

The explosion happened when a vehicle rolled over on a remote part of the base, according to WTVD.
Officials are investigating the cause of the incident.

1. Odd as explosives typically aren't "Capped'' until in place and ready to detonate

And Military Grade explosives are typically robust and stable.

I cant believe any SF instructors would allow them to be transported in a vehicle all set to detonate

2. This is indeed weird

Not too much experience with explosives, but I know wherever we moved munitions on the ship, people were very serious.

When I was sent to advanced damage control school and was burning stuff, and trying to prevent bombs from cooking off (just a tiny explosion), the instructor's were deadly serious.

3. "Complacency leaves an open door for Murphy."

My second Top's motto, was on the front of his desk right at eye level while in front leaning rest.

Not saying this is true, but you and I have both seen complacency fuck a dude up.
