Villanueva donating all proceeds from his jersey sales to military nonprofits

This guy is a real class act. He has absolutely noting to apologize for.

"Pittsburgh Steeler Alejandro Villanueva is donating all proceeds from his jersey and apparel sales to United Service Organizations Inc. and other military nonprofits.

Sales for jerseys bearing his name skyrocketed after Sunday, when he was the only player on the team to stand on the field in Chicago for the playing of the national anthem.

The team has dealt with a lot of controversy over its decision to remain off the field while the anthem was played.

Villanueva has since apologized for not standing in solidarity with his teammates and coaches.

The Steelers organization has already announced it will be on the field for the national anthem at this Sunday's game."

1. Actually, it's "his teammates and coaches" who should be apologizing to him since they disrespected

"Villanueva has since apologized for not standing in solidarity with his teammates and coaches."

...his service to our country by their cowardly action.

2. Ironic

The kneeling started as a protest against police brutality. The only cause that seems to have benefited is the USO and other "military nonprofits".

3. Would guess because he's a veteran.

Certainly great organizations to donate to.
