Unsealed FISA Court Report: 85% of Obamas FBI/DOJ FISA Searches were illegal

Uh Oh

Unsealed FISA Court Ruling Shows 85% of Obama’s FBI and DOJ 704-5 FISA Searches Were Illegal and Illegally Provided to Government Outsiders

A Report was released in April of 2017 that received no publicity until recently.

The report was a ruling on the results of an investigation or audit into FISA searches made by Obama’s FBI and DOJ during Obama’s time in office.

The report shows Obama’s FBI and DOJ participated in widespread criminal searches and criminal sharing of data with non authorized entities outside of government.

1. Why the redactions? Even legal terms get hidden from the public now?

Given that FISA courts rubber stamp government requests, either before, during or after a search, there is zero reason for any search that anyone in government considers Illegal. However, in my book, a rubber stamp court is illegal and nothing like what the Framers and those who ratified the Constitution contemplated for the Fourth Amendment.

Welcome to the party. Liberals have been complaining about the FISA court for decades.

7. Your bad guys are not the same as mine

Surveiling Russian spies who are trying to rig our elections in favor of candidates who (charitably) owe the Kremlin a favor are exactly the kind of "bad guys" that Congress had in mind when they created the court in 1978.

The whole point of the court is to get permission to listen to the conversations of foreign suspected spies with parties here in the US. If the court authorized a wiretap of Trump's people, it was because the FISA judges (all of whom we're appointed by chief justice Roberts) thought that probable cause existed to believe that the Russians on the other end of the line were up to no good.

I'd like to know what that probable cause was.

So, Congress approved the Patriot act Bush demanded of them.

27. Burden of proof is an odd thing.

If an ip address is found to have uploaded 31 songs, a $675,000 fine for the homeowner associated with that address is deemed appropriate. Circumstantial? Whatever.

Yet when in 2001 US army anthrax, identifiable by lab and batch number (seems like that's something that ought to have some kind of controls on it), kills five people and coerces congress into passing legislation giving the pentagon vast new powers, righty says "commander-in-what? Who? Someone else is responsible for the military, not my guy!"

I'm sure it's no surprise that the guy responsible is the guy who just "committed suicide". Not suspicious at all.

Who's occam and what's this razor bullshit I keep hearing about?

29. Idiocy. Pure, unadulterated idiocy.

You have no proof. You have only what you want it to be so you have a reason to justify your irrationality.

Occam's razor would more likely end your fairy tale at a disgruntled individual lashing out by the means at his disposal then taking his own life as so many other spree killers have done and will do.

But you want us to believe it was an elaborate plot to justify legislation where the conspirators just happened use the most traceable sample at their disposal.

I repeat: idiocy.

30. Proof? No one ever sought any proof.

The justice department (who do those guys report to? remind me again) never brought charges against anyone, nor even continued any sort of meaningful investigation after someone committed suicide.

The reason we don't know who did this is because we don't want to know.

Question: how long after the crime did "the perpetrator" kill himself? Is this consistent with the kind of murder-suicide that you're suggesting?

But it's a good thing he did, because we totally wouldn't be safe from evildoers were it not for the warrantless wiretaps that we demanded from Bush and are condemning Obama for.

I'm concerned about the way your mind works. That kind of sprocket skipping makes me get off and tighten the chain.

But it is kind of interesting that the Iowa Ames strain was destroyed on the orders of the FBI and CDC, Two days after the last letter and just before it was determined that Fort Deitrich was the source of the Ames material.

So I searched the site for your username and Mueller. It seems you favor his work in the current controversy.

Yet, he lead the anthrax investigation you all but accuse of being a co-conspirator.

How do you explain the difference between the two?

It's interesting that the right wing noise machine saw no fault with the anthrax investigation until Mueller could be linked to it.

39. Robert Mueller headed the anthrax investigation.

Mueller was also criticized for his time as head of the FBI. He led the investigation into the deadly anthrax attacks in the years after 9/11 for nearly seven years, ultimately leading in the prosecution of the wrong suspect, who later successfully sued the government for $5.8 million.

Perhaps now you will return the courtesy by supplying a basis for your absurd conspiracy theory or explaining how you so heavily criticize Mueller's work on the anthrax investigation but consider him the man to count on to bring President Trump to heel.

permission (or anyone elses) to ask or comment on a post. In fact, I’m glad you did.

I think the general reaction is, as with most people who think their politicians should be honest, that “they were counting on her winning and they never thought for one minute that their actions to rig the election would ever see the light of day”.

And amusement at what a bunch of incompetent assholes they are.
