Another Russian journo dies in 5-story fall

For several days he did not regain consciousness after he fell from the height of the fifth floor on April 12. It was noted that this happened under unclear circumstances. Law enforcement agencies joined in the investigation of the incident .

Borodin wrote about the fighters of the so-called private military company Wagner from the Urals. In March, he released material in which, referring to his own sources, he reported on the delivery to Asbestos of the bodies of the dead mercenaries Stanislav Matveyev and Igor Kosoturov . Another article written in co-authorship with another journalist says that at least 30 residents of Sverdlovsk region are fighting in Syria.

In February, it was reported about the deaths in Syria of Russian mercenaries caught under fire from the US military. Moscow has previously confirmed the death of five Russians, but many sources reported that there were more victims.

On April 12, CIA director Mike Pompeo, at a hearing in the US Senate , said that "a couple of weeks ago in Syria, the Russians met with a worthy opponent and a couple hundred died."

1. Defenestration (noun): The throwing from windows of one's enemies, opponents or undesirables.

The word is of Central/Eastern European origin, first coined to describe the airy dismissal of the Austrian delegation by the Bohemians in 1618, and similar usage of high windows as points of unconventional egress, notably to describe a rash of similar occurrences in Prague, Czechoslovakia in the nineteenth century, and, topically, a common fate of unwanted journalists in certain countries.
