North Korea accused the US on Thursday of pushing for international sanctions despite goodwill moves by Pyongyang.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on state-run KCNA that North Korea was still willing to implement a broad agreement made at the June 12 summit in Singapore between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

The statement followed comments this week by top US diplomats, stressing the need for Pyongyang to take additional steps toward denuclearization, Reuters said. The ministry said on Thursday that Pyongyang had stopped testing missiles, conducting nuclear tests, and had dismantled “the nuclear test ground.” However, the US still insisted on “denuclearization first.”

Progress on denuclearization promises could not be expected if Washington continues to follow an “outdated acting script,” the ministry said.

4. Kim Jong-un needs to understand that Trump is different from ...

the American presidents the leadership of North Korea has dealt with in the past.

Trump wants to see North Korea actually scrap its nuclear weapons program. He’s not that impressed with a couple of fairly insignificant steps in that direction.

Kim Jong-un also most likely believes Trump would never invoke the military option if he doesn’t give up his nukes. I feel that if Trump feels that’s the only way to get North Korea to comply, he might just use such force. Of course it would be the final option.

I understand Kim Jong-in wants to live for eternity. A war with the United States might interfere with that dream.

A senior intelligence official told the Daily Star Sunday that North Korean scientists have been conducting genetic experiments on humans for years.

The source said: “Prisoners have been used in cloning and other terrible experiments for years. Kim is obsessed with human cloning. He has been attempting to grow human tissue, organs and clone embryos. He believes he can live forever by making clones of himself.
