Union not giving up on Ohio plant even as GM ends production

LORDSTOWN, Ohio — Union leaders in Ohio aren't giving up hope even though General Motors is announcing it will no longer make the Chevy Cruze at its Youngstown-area plant.

GM said Monday that the assembly plant in Lordstown is one of five factories being looked at for a possible closure.

The Detroit-based automaker says all production at the plant will end in March.....

Well, that shows spunk, and that's good, that they're not giving up, but probably they need to sit back and think about why this happened, and other layoffs elsewhere are likely to happen.

I'll bet the membership pretty much voted for Demo congressmen, giving Bela Pelosi the Speaker's gavel and Mad Maxine the chair of the House Banking and Finance committee, where she's bound to wreak havoc with the economy and the markets.

Too bad for them, but it's their own fault.

1. Tell us why this happened.

"they need to sit back and think about why this happened"

The plant is making cars that aren't selling, seems like a sound business decision to halt production to me.
US sales of the Cruze since introduction:
2010 24,495 units
2011 231,732 units
2012 237,758 units
2013 248,224 units
2014 273,060 units
2015 226,602 units
2016 188,876 units
2017 184,751 units
2018 109,662 units through September

2. Ohhh.. Your gonna want to rethink that approach

Encouraging people to think why this happened is just gonna lead them to "stupid Trump tarrifs against allies"

Also to which groups in this country would love to see their union broken and their wages cut.

Might wanna rethink your approach to this situation.
