Ozone Alert issued for New Orleans area on Tuesday

NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality alert for most of the New Orleans metro area and South Shore for Tuesday until 7 p.m.. St. Tammany Parish is also included.
The forecast for Tuesday calls for a Code Orange, which means air quality could become unhealthy for sensitive groups, including children, the elderly, and those with respiratory diseases such as asthma.

You are not going to attempt some point regarding the Ozone layer in the stratosphere and Ozone in the lower atmosphere! Please tell me you’re not going to do that.

2. add my "please" to that.

small amounts of O2 in the stratosphere are ionized into 2 atoms of O. these free ) atoms collide and combine with O2 to form O3. we fixed that by regulating chlorinated hydrocarbons which were interfering with this process, which is necessary for life on earth because filters ultraviolet from the sun. .

tropospheric ozone is a product of combustion (exhaust from cars and other industrial things) reacting with sunlight close to the earth. it can be harmful or even deadly depending on concentration.
