Trumps properties are unfairly (illegally) profiting off of his administration

In early Spring of this year, an Air National Guard crew made a routine trip from the U.S. to Kuwait to deliver supplies.

What wasn’t routine was where the crew stopped along the way: President Donald Trump’s Turnberry resort, about 50 miles outside Glasgow, Scotland.

Since April, the House Oversight Committee has been investigating why the crew on the C-17 military transport plane made the unusual stay — both en route to the Middle East and on the way back — at the luxury waterside resort, according to several people familiar with the incident. But they have yet to receive any answers from the Pentagon.

The inquiry is part of a broader, previously unreported probe into U.S. military expenditures at and around the Trump property in Scotland. According to a letter the panel sent to the Pentagon in June, the military has spent $11 million on fuel at the Prestwick Airport — the closest airport to Trump Turnberry — since October 2017, fuel that would be cheaper if purchased at a U.S. military base. The letter also cites a Guardian report that the airport provided cut-rate rooms and free rounds of golf at Turnberry for U.S. military members.

Taken together, the incidents raise the possibility that the military has helped keep Trump’s Turnberry resort afloat — the property lost $4.5 million in 2017, but revenue went up $3 million in 2018.

1. LBJ profited off the Vietnam war- he owned stock in the company that provided the Combat ration

eaten by every single Soldier, and Marine in South Vietnam and all US forces in field training in West Germany, CONUS, Panama, Italy, South Korea... LBJ made money off every meal those men ate

He got donations from KBR (RMK-BRJ) for no bid construction of Cam Ranh Bay (in fact at one point they had construction to 85% of WORLDWIDE US Navy shore based construction contracts)

Airfields at Bein Hoa for the 1st Cavalry Division(Airmobile), Pleiku, Improved existing fields at Saigon(Tan Son Nhut) and Da Nang, Monkey Mountain, Port facilities/Airfields at Vung Tau, Chu Lai, Soc Trang, Nha Trang, Marble Mountain, US Embassy Saigon, Long Binh (Including the US Army prison there) Phu Cat, MAC-V HQ Saigon

He also got donations during WW2 for Corpus Christi NAS from Brown and Root in fact B&R gave LBJ massive amounts of money during his 1st election campaign to Congress in 1941.

2. It's their ancestral hometown.

All of them had grandmothers who once lived in Turnberry.

14. So to recap 4 Crewmembers of 1 C-17 stopped & stayed at a trump property & he should be impeached

Because Obviously he personally ordered the USAF to make these 4 fliers to prop up his property

19. Heaven forbid that 4 airmen get a short stop at a luxury resort

Lefty would rather have them sleep in an unheated Quonset.

Wow!!! Talk about grasping at fucking straws.

11. NYT reporting that troops per diems wouldn't cover food costs at the Trump properties

Haven't read any reports of troops getting free accommodations provided by airport, only that they stayed at the resort at cost to American taxpayers.

25. The Clintons and Obama

wrote books. Hillary got a $25 million advance IIRC. At least we won't have to worry about a Trump book. The mother-fucker is functionally illiterate. Selected tweets could probably fill several thousand pages tho.

President.

He knew if he was elected he could make hundreds of dollars on hotel rooms. Pure genius.

18. FDR once assigned a Commissioned Officer to babysit his dog while aboard USS Baltimore

and his son was good for similar high handedness

In January 1945, Seaman 1/C Leon LeRoy’s ship docked in New York City. There he received a pile of letters—and he finally learned of his father’s death. He received a furlough to go home and visit his mother.

During the war, the transportation system was strained by the competing needs of civilian and military transport. Military travel took priority, but even in the military, priorities were assigned. Seaman LeRoy had “C” priority.

On January 9, 1945, the C-47 transport plane carrying Seaman 1/C Leon LeRoy landed in Memphis, Tennessee. Cargo was loaded carrying an “A” priority label, meaning it was “required by an emergency so acute that precedence should be given over all other traffic.”

This crucial cargo was a large crate carrying Col. Elliot Roosevelts dog Blaze the bull mastiff. To make room, Seaman LeRoy was bumped from the flight, along with a Seabee and Army T/Sgt. Dave Aks, home for the first time in thirty-one months to visit his critically ill wife in Riverside, California. LeRoy wouldn’t arrive in Antioch until January 16, leaving him only three days to stay at home.
