2. By endangering our national security

That is much more possible.

The Kurds are holding over 10,000 hardened ISIS fighters.

Its their fight, not ours.

With U.S. troops withdrawing from the Turkish-Syrian border and Turkish troops poised to attack, the Syrian Kurdish commander warned Monday morning that a bloodbath could be ahead — and pleaded for continued U.S. support.

Gen. Mazloum Abdi, the commander of the Kurdish-led militia known as the Syrian Democratic Forces, said in a telephone interview from his headquarters inside Syria that Turkish troops “are preparing to cross the border” and that a major assault could come in “a matter of days.”

This latest chapter of the Syrian horror story follows a White House announcement late Sunday night that President Trump was, in effect, leaving the border unprotected in the face of a possible Turkish attack, despite repeated U.S. pledges over the past three months that the United States would seek to forestall such an assault if the Kurds pulled back troops and heavy weapons from the border zone."

Just the facts

look at all the LW terror groups who lent men and weapons to the PLO, PLFP?

Japanese red army attack on Lod airport in 1972 kiling 20 and wounding 80

Wilfried Böse Brigitte Kuhlmann, German Communists of Revolutionäre Zellen (and Baader-Meinhoff) who hijacked Air France 139 to Entebbe for the PLFP in 1976

22. I doubt the US can unilaterally expel member states.

Now, there's the issue of US bases and nuclear forces and the fact that as soon as we leave Russia will race in to advance its sphere of influence.

27. NATO charter rules explicitly state the ONLY way a NATO member can leave is by that Nation

Article 13
After the Treaty has been in force for twenty years, any Party may cease to be a Party one year after its notice of denunciation has been given to the Government of the United States of America, which will inform the Governments of the other Parties of the deposit of each notice of denunciation.

SOURCE-https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/official_texts_17120.htm

There is no device in place to expel any NATO member against that members will.

We didnt expel Turkey OR Greece in 1974 when they went to war with each other

26. Remember Eastern Europe in 45? the Montangnards in 64 and 75, the Kurds in 91

unless YOU are willing to pick up a weapon and fight for them they will remain a spread out Minority straddling borders with Iran/Iraq, Turkey/Iraq, Turkey/Syria

None of those nations will willingly give up their soil for them, nor their claims on them

Whats your plan Eisenhower?

29. Funny you mention Eisenhower.

My older brother was on the 7 man firing squad that fired the last shots at his burial in 1968.

Yes, I remember very clearly watching helicopters being pushed off of an aircraft carrier during the evacuation of Saigon in 1975, and all that signified.

There was a plan.

Trump fucked it up.

Jaysus, Simpletons abound here.

There is no ''plan'' for the Kurds, never was

When Obama sent the Green Berets to train them and give them TACP support in 2011 there was no treaty to give them a homeland and the Kurds themselves KNOW this.

32. My opinion was not based on dislike of Trump

Although I certainly do dislike him, and I understand why perfectly. He is the American Putin.

It was based on memory of 1975. (I was 17 going on enlistment age.)

I never claim to be a foreign policy expert, insults notwithstanding.

Go easy on the sauce, Cap.

And I am helping then in my very small way, by raising awareness of their situation online.

And if that doesn't count, someone should tell Putin he is wasting his rubles with the influence ops and troll farms.

We assimilated a huge number of Vietnamese to America in 75 - 76.

I saw this first hand, as a large number if them moved into my neighborhood from Indiantown Gap.

Be nice if we could do the same for the Kurds.

From what I've read, I see eye to eye with them on much!

Just one time I would like to see us treat people who fight bravely alongside Special Forces be treated with honor and respect, instead of being screwed for the convenience of crooked pols.
