Army won't investigate Vindman over impeachment testimony, top leader says

The Army will not investigate Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the former National Security Council staffer who testified in the president’s impeachment investigation, the service’s top civilian said Friday.

Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy made the announcement at an event just days after President Donald Trump said he imagined the military would “take a look at” whether Vindman should face disciplinary action for the “horrible things” he told House investigators about the president’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last July.
...
McCarthy on Friday downplayed Vindman’s return to the Army, saying he simply returned to the service a few months earlier than planned and would have a “bridging assignment” for a couple of months in the Army’s headquarters office in Washington.

“Then he will be heading to a senior service college this summer. There’s no investigation into him,” McCarthy said at a National Press Club luncheon.

McCabe and Vindman both. Our Conservative Colleagues’ predictions seem to be falling apart. Oh well, there’s always Strzok and Page.

1. No need to do that. BUT his running down his CIC while in uniform to other military members???

That is a punishable offence under the UCMJ.

This is on his record, it was noted by his commanding officer, witnessed by his commanding officer, and is a part of his official file.

Who said anything about the testimony.

3. I have personal knowledge of officers being court marshaled for that exact offense.

That "conduct unbecoming an officer" as well as "insubordination" charges were made for this situation.

This asshole not only made very nasty remarks to other US Officers but also Enlisted personnel as well as uniformed officers of allied Foreign Military units.

It was reported to his commanding officer who then went in and witnessed his words and actions.

Yep, if there is equal justice under the UCMJ this will happen.

5. Yep and I heard that Gen Flynn was just toast and would get many years... LOL nope

His case will be tossed out as well as a couple others. Telling lies to the FISA court, 4 different times, and using information from that case to set someone up without reading them their rights and telling them they don't need a lawyer doesn't fly forever even if it is the FBI who does it all.

Stone and Flynn will both walk in the end one way or another.
