Prosecutor dismisses charges against Breonna Taylor's boyfriend, more investigation 'necessary'

This is great news, Breonna Taylor's boyfriend is a licensed gun owner who fired on persons breaking into his apartment with out notice. As a result Breoona Taylor was shot 8 times and died The break in was by officers pursuant to a no-knock warrant that evidently contained false information. I am glad that the Second Amendment applies to African Americans

The charges of attempted murder and assault against Breonna Taylor's boyfriend are being dropped.

Commonwealth's Attorney Tom Wine announced at a news conference Friday that his office will move to dismiss the case against Kenneth Walker, who was charged after he fired one shot out of Taylor's apartment, striking a police officer.

Walker's attorney has said he thought they were being robbed and he did not know the intruders were police officers serving a search warrant.

Wine acknowledged that a grand jury should have seen more information before deciding to indict Walker.
"I believe that additional investigation is necessary," Wine said.

1. Charges shouldn't have been filed in the first place

I'm glad to hear this good news.

2. Needs more investigation. MORE? They didnt

do anything in the first place. If they had, this guy would NEVER have been arrested in the first place. They IMMEDIATELY went into CYA mode and itís a miracle the truth came out at all.

3. The cops seem to have wanted it both ways.

Have their no knock warrants, be immune if they get the wrong house and punish anyone that shoots at them for entering a house they were not supposed to be in.

6. A long time ago I used to try and justify no knock entry.

Incompetence by the police exhausted my patience well over a decade ago.

8. The only situation I can think of

that justifies entry without knocking and confirming identity is if there is confirmed evidence that someone inside is in the process of being harmed.

9. Typical of cops who show up at the wrong house,

and get mistaken for home invasions. Race has nothing to do with it, so cut the race-baiting other than to say you probably support 1920s carry and UBC laws that were written lobbied by and for the KKK.

What do you mean about licensed? License to carry? Kentucky doesn't require a licence to own or possess one.
