So sorry, libs

FBI Director James Comey and Mike Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency, say they have no evidence or intelligence that Russian cyber actors changed vote tallies in key states during last year's presidential election.

Testifying at a highly politically charged congressional hearing in the House, both said they had no evidence that any vote tallies were changed in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, North Carolina or Ohio.

2. Has anyone claimed that they did?

I was not aware that the Russians changing voting machine tallies was even a thing. No one I know believes such a thing.

5. Ah, look at some of the posts at DU

There are true believers there, believing the Russians changed the vote counts.

8. Ah. Well, that would explain it.

I try to stay away from cesspools of fevered conspiracy theories and hyperpartisanship.

It's why I don't go to Free Republic, either.

9. Liberals have been repeating ad infinitum that Russians "hacked the election".

Check out LaydeeBug on DU for the typical mindset.

10. No one I have heard means that the Russians hacked into U.S. voting machines.

The wacko liberals believe Diebold does that all by themselves, with no foreign involvement needed.

I try to stay away from DU as much as possible.

Didn't you hear?

No other possible way.

Liberals told me so.

13. It sounds more like a straw man or a goalpost move.

The issue is Russians hacking into DNC emails and trying to influence the electorate, and were members of the Trump camp a little to cozy with the Russians.

I believe that is what the FBI is investigating.

16. Just how did this Russian interference manifest itself?

Podesta and the DNC falling for a fairly obvious phishing scam? Is that it?

Because as lousy as Putin and Co. are, that hardly seems to be the kind of sophisticated cyber warfare Russian hackers would use if they were really acting at the behest of the Russian government to change the course of the US elections.

18. Exactly, TCH! No one claimed that (that I've read on this board), and they say, "See, some loon

on a partisan website" made the claim as if it applies to anyone who posts here.

I can't think of a single democrat who holds any office that claimed the Russians hacked voter tallies. Can you?

4. There are other ways of interfering with an election and they will continue the investigation,

including whether or not members of Trump's campaign were involved.

Mr. Comey said that it is unusual for the F.B.I. to confirm or deny the existence of any investigations, but in unusual circumstances when it is in the public interest, the bureau sometimes will discuss such matters.

“This is one of those circumstances,” he said.

“The F.B.I., as part of our counterintelligence effort, is investigating the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 president election,” he continued, adding that the investigation included looking at whether associates of Mr. Trump were in contact with Russian officials, and colluded with them.

11. So how did the Russians "hack the election?"

Seriously. What was the cumulative effect of the release of Podesta's e-mails and those at the DNC?

14. Someone ever claimed that to be the case? Only an idiot would assume it's possible.

But, at least you have testimony that supports that never-contested fact.

And Trump is under investigation by the FBI and has been for months.
