Nancy Pelosi is 'very certain' Democrats will take back House

Say this about House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi: She knows how to fire up her fellow Democrats and rile Republicans at the same time.

Pelosi told The Washington Post in an interview posted Wednesday that she’s confident about winning the 17 seats needed to take power from Speaker John Boehner and the GOP, citing voter enthusiasm and support from major donors. She said she would like to win 25 seats, noting Democrats are “playing” in 70 districts and “the candidates give me so much confidence.”

Here’s what the top Democrat said:

"I feel very certain that we will win the 17 seats we need. We have to net that though, which means we have to hold everything else. And right now, members are telling me now that the Koch Brothers are just pouring money into their districts. That has an impact, there’s just no question."

2. She may be confident, but the odds are against the Democrats holding the House in the fall.

12. I'm going with Nate Silver on this one. He has a pretty good political track record.

And I didn't say a thing about Rep. Pelosi. Check the thread.

5. The public is tired of the Koch Brothers, Sheldon A & Karl Rove attempting to run Corporate America

time to continue the peaceful revolution that was won in 2008 taking the government out of the hands of the Bush/Cheney/Reagan by having all parts of the political landscape up and running in an 80-20 or 70-30, with the Democratic party in the lead by Jan. 2017 with the house, senate, presidency and the US Supreme Court, and the governors, mayor, state senate, legislature, you name it all of them.

I look forward for Speaker Pelosi to move the house forward after the years mired in obstructionism that Eric Cantor and Newt Gingrich and retired after losing to Grimes Mitch McConnell had a meeting about the week of the inuaguartion of Barack Obama.

The public first spoke about the obstructionism when defeating Eric Cantor recently.

Go Nancy. A true American Patriot and I love her dearly.

11. In 2016 all parts will be Democratic. The democratic party won far more house votes in 2012

but the gerrymandering made it hard.

But I already am on record as saying the Democratic party can retake the house after what happened to Cantor

13. I think Hillary will win 500 electoral votes and Grimes will be the new senator in Kentucky

and in 2016, Grimes will be joined in the senate by another Democratic senator in a romp over Ron Paul's son.

2016 will show it all.
Couldn't tell you a number for 2014, but the Democratic party is doing a lot better in the Senate races,
and that is because the Democratic party has zero fracture.

Mine is been said many times over-
the continuation of the agenda of Barack Obama forever and Doris Day.

14. C'mon Dork_D

We all know that Obama isn't going to be impeached.
I think the r's have messed up. They lay too long with the Tea party and have given too much credence to ideas that most of the country finds objectionable. I wouldn't be surprised if the Democrats did indeed take a whole bunch of seats currently filled with r's..

20. Treading that fine line between cheerleading and lunacy...

Maintaining a positive attitude has its merits, but when that flies in the face of reality more then a few people will take it as being delusional.
