Democrat forced utterance laws are taking a beating! Makes me smile!

https://www.cato.org/blog/court-kentucky-print-shop-neednt-print-messages-which-it-disagrees?utm_content=buffer93480&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

On Friday a Kentucky state appeals court ruled in favor of local print shop Hands On Designs, which had declined to print t-shirts promoting the Lexington Pride Festival because the shop’s owners disapproved of the ideological message of the shirts. The ruling, narrower than it might be, may in the end protect the owners against this particular claim under Lexington’s ordinance barring discrimination in public accommodations. It missed the opportunity, however, to make clear—as Cato urged in its amicus brief—that laws violate the First Amendment when they force people to print or utter words in which they disbelieve.

1. That's what happens when gays try to get services from fundie Christian fanatics. Gays should avoid

such businesses like the plague.

3. Agreed. They should. Forcing somebody to serve you against their will is

Disgusting, whether it is "bake me a cake" or "make me this t-shirt that you find offensive."

Interesting how much power over others some people seem to need -- whether forcing them to do something or express something they find offensive or censoring their speech that you find offensive or turning a longtime public family event into a sexual street celebration.

Funny how they would deny others their rights in the name of justice.

4. Then why don't they?

Problem solved. Why do they feel obligated to force people to accept their non standard orientation?

5. The same way I avoid anti-gun businesses.

So I know it's not something that's hard to do. But what they seem to be doing is ordering these services, knowing they violate the conscience of the proprietors, with the specific intent of punishing them for their faith.

Fanatics, indeed.
