The Sarah Palin Channel Launches Online

Sarah Palin has started her own subscription-based online network.

The Sarah Palin Channel, which went live on Sunday, bills itself as a "direct connection" between the former Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential candidate and her supporters, with "no need to please the powers-that-be," Palin says in a video mission statement on her channel's home page.

"Are you tired of the media filters?" she asks. "Well, I am. I always have been. So we're gonna do something about it."

"We'll talk about the issues that the mainstream media won't talk about," she adds.

Palin says she oversees all content posted to the channel. This will include her own political commentary. Other features for subscribers include the ability to submit questions to Palin and participate with her in online video chats.

I just couldn't resist posting this. I for one, will not be sending any subscription money her way. But this is America, and everyone has the opportunity to do what she's doing. Just how successful it will be, remains to be seen.

5. It seems to have worked out for Glenn Beck.

But I wonder if he's basically cornered the market. Sarah may be too little, too late.

Glenn Beck's last name with three K's are you insinuating that he is in the Ku Klux Klan?

Maybe it was just a typo?

Beck is still around? You do not hear much from him lately. Maybe Palin will also fade away and we will not hear from her either

But he earned $90 million last year. That's what I meant when I said it seems to have worked out for him.

14. ‘LAMESTREAM MEDIA’ EXECS ARE RUNNING PALIN TV

Jonathan Klein, the former president of CNN’s United States operation, and Jeff Gaspin, the former chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment, are just the sort of lamestream media elites that Sarah Palin is constantly railing against.

But, because this is America, where capitalism is the great equalizer between liberals and conservatives alike, a little difference of opinion hasn’t stopped the former governor of Alaska, Republican vice presidential nominee and right-wing political icon from joining forces with two blue-state media entrepreneurs to launch her own subscription-based online TV channel.

The Sarah Palin Channel “went up last night at 9 p.m.,” Klein told The Daily Beast on Monday morning. He said that his and Gaspin’s brand-new niche digital channel company, TAPP, has installed cameras all throughout the Palin house in Wasilla—“Sarah can flip a switch anytime she has something to say”—and they’re building out the channel from their production hub in Los Angeles, while Mike Greer, the former chief technology officer of the satirical news site The Onion, is leading the Sarah Palin Channel’s Web design team in San Francisco.

Palin’s contributor contract with Fox News—which the network’s chairman, Roger Ailes, reinstated last summer after a six-month hiatus following reported tensions with management—allowed her to make a side deal for digital TV, Klein said, adding that Palin is not getting guaranteed money up front but will receive a substantial but undisclosed percentage of the revenue stream.

I long to see her documentary on Paul Revere, "ringin' those bells"; her analysis on "our North Korean allies", and maybe an editorial on how she and her family used to cross into Canada to take advantage of their healthcare system (but it's not mooching or freeloading in her case... so stop saying that!).

Because if one believes proximity to Russia gives one foreign policy experience, you simply know the channel will be wonderfully deep analysis...

36. Stephen Colbert buys Sarah Palin website

Palin is an idiot http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2014/07/stephen-colbert-buys-sarah-palin-website-193119.html

A basic lesson for politicos in the digital age: Own your domain.

Sarah Palin, who just launched her own online television channel, has become the latest politician to lose her eponymous website to another bidder -- and in this case the bidder was Stephen Colbert.

Palin got SarahPalinChannel.com, but she failed to get "TheSarahPalinChannel.com." That address is now in the hands of Colbert and his staff, as he announced on his show on Tuesday night. The site currently boasts a photo of Palin with the line "The only Sarah Palin Channel on the internet with a definite article in the address!"

The page then links to a segment from Colbert's show about Palin and Paul Revere.
