Day322 Snowflake. I am proud to be a snowflake.

I saw somewhere someone use the term smowflakes in a nasty negative connotation

I am proud to be a snowflake
No two snowflakes are the same
Each snowflake is an individual
Each snowflake is powerless in and by oneself
But, the more snowflakes that come together
The more powerful a snowflake becomes

What starts as one, multiplies and when there are millions, who before never knew there were any others,
quickly becomes an avalanche that is as powerful as a tsunami wave

ever wonder why the latest fad is for corporations to not allow class action lawsuits?
ever wonder why?
I didn't. I know why.
ever wonder why someone like trump makes everyone sign a confidentiality statement and then threatens and yells and says they will go to court (yet almost never does take that step to go to court?)
I don't. I know why

Using the term snowflake as a nasty negative in a negative connotation is a marker.
So is the Dixie flag.
Sure, anyone is free to say it, or fly it.

I would rather be a snowflake.
An individual.
As #6 said, I am not a number, I am a freeman.(free person)
In fact, I don't know any liberal that would use the word snowflake as a negative.
that is my opinion.

In solidarity with all the snowflakes in the world.
Everyone of them are beautiful.

1. they claim they are for the "individual"

yet they villianize "snowflakes" for being individual. yet another example of how the frog worshippers have degraded our language and culture.

3. Disagree, although not a proponent of Pepe either

The criticism embedded in the snowflake analogy has nothing to do with the individuality of snowflakes, but rather with their delicate nature as manifested in their inability to deal rationally with opposing opinions. In fact, it would be exceedingly ironic to associate individualism with snowflakes for that very reason. For example, we see snowflakes trying to enforce a single mindset through their attempts to invalidate opposing opinions through the control of language, e.g., the use of ‘he,’ ‘she,’ and ‘it.’

4. i wonder how much of the ridiculous "pc" stuff

starts on sewers like 4chan and gets spread as pranks.

to me, "pc" is just the common courtesy and respect for others that i was taught in school. calling anyone a collective name as an insult as in "ethnic humor" can be, to the very young, hurtful. as an adult i try to avoid it.

6. A couple of points

First, I agree with you regarding politeness but as an individual trait, not as a government enforced one. I firmly believe that there is no human right not to be offended.

Second, I don’t know anything about 4chan but I do know there is an unfortunate intolerance for free speech in the English-speaking West. We see it in the snowflakes who prevent Ben Shapiro from speaking, we see it in Canadian and British laws regarding ‘Islamophobia,’ we see it in universities like Harvard enforcing what are effectively no free speech zones, we even see it in YouTube demonetising certain points of view. That’s how the power of multiple snowflakes that Graham references is currently being leveraged.

You carry on.

Body is worn. Have to go to work in a few hrs.

5. We don't call 'em snowflakes because they are individual or unique.

Rather, they aren't particularly individualistic or unique. They all have the same ideas, as tired ad refuted as those ideas are. There is nothing particularly unique about a bunch of people that wake up, check their iphone, head to the local Starbucks, and all wear pretty much the exact same designer clothes, and then head to some protest about.....whatever it is this week....it could be the patriarchy, the alt-right, Trump, misogynists, racists, xenophobes, that their mommy didn't love them enough as toddlers, whatever....and chant the same old long clichéd chants.

Nope we call them snowflakes because when they encounter something that runs against their "narrative" something like the below is the result. Absolute emotional meltdowns, just like an actual snowflake encountering a warm spring breeze.

16. Maybe G4A should start a "short timers" calendar

2,597 days until a different president takes the oath!
