6. Its Bezos' money

A private citizen can spend his own money any way he chooses. Philanthropists, both conservative (ie The Koch Brothers , Sam Walton) and liberal (ie Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos) have been underwriting the costs of a college education since the first billionaires in the 19th century.

11. I was referring to Fink saying he was owed money.

as to your comment, YES it IS Bezos' money. That is a very conservative statement.

Liberals. progressives and socialists are the ones who say, "eat the rich." They are also the hypocrites who vote the one percent to represent them.
I remember a clip from the occupy movement. In New York, Micheal Moore cam to speak with them and he took pure socialist bent, asking that the rich start by paying back a million to the poor.

One of the people shouted, "When will You give back a million? You are rich too!"
The crowd turned on this one man shouting, "Who is paying you?! Who is paying you?!"

That is when I learned the Liberal elite are immune from the eat the rich sentiment. Lefty is a hypocrite and will allow his own to keep their wealth.

Occupy taught a lot of lessons. The left's hypocrisy was foremost in my mind.

14. Case in point: complaints about SLT cap on the new tax plan -- only applies to the vert rich

So the "tax cuts for the rich are eeeeevil" meme is complete BS.

Note: someone should tell Kisses that his money is going to leave town with the recipients.

7. I'm Sure There Are

But these particular scholarships are earmarked for American colleges and universities. Having DACA status does not make a person eligible for federal grants and loans, nor state aid in 44 states. That’s where TheDream.US program that Bezos is assisting comes in. As of now, 2,850 Dreamer students are enrolled in U.S. colleges through this program. The Bezos grant will enable TheDream.US to help an additional 1,000 students.

While TheDream.US organization (in its 4th year) is not old enough to have graduation rates, it says its students are thriving academically, noting that 94 percent return to college after their first year, while the national average is 72 percent.

“We expect a 75% graduation rate,” TheDream.US President Candy Marshall said in a statement. “This is extraordinary—extraordinary for any students; extraordinary for the colleges they attend; and extraordinary for students from low-income families in particular.”

12. That's certainly a possibility

But just this week a judge blocked any attempt to remove them. I expect DACA will be tied up in the courts for years. Plus Canada may accept up to 30,000 of them and I'm betting college students who could transfer their scholarships would be high on the list to get in.

16. DACA will be gone inside of 3 months

straight to SCOTUS and then a decision that an EXECTIVE ORDER withdrawing an illegal EXECUTIVE ORDER is not subject to judicial oversight and 100% under the POTUS powers.

After that we start the deportations. Some will happen in the meantime since DACA doesn't protect lawbreakers and many will be just that.

9. There is a difference between Bezos' personal money

and the Amazon employee pay scale. Amazon employees get automatic $.25 pay raises every 6 months. They receive a bonus every month of $80-$130 depending on productivity and attendance, they get paid holidays if they choose to work or not and if they do work it's time and a half on top of that, and there are always weekly overtime opportunities. Plus they get personal paid time off and vacation time (wich are separate) from day one. Amazon will pay 95% of school and tuition. They also get amazon common stock shares which gives an employee a sense of ownership and an incentive to help make the company a success.

10. Bezos is small potatoes compared to the absolute super wealthy. Bezos doesn't own any

central banks, but there are people and families who own nearly all of them and John D. Rockefeller's fortune was estimated at 336 billion way back when.

Don't believe everything you hear.

13. "Richest Man In the World"

On January 12, 2018.
Of the CURRENT top ten, five lean left (Bezos, Gates, Buffett, Zuckerberg, Bloomberg), three lean right (The Koch Brothers, Larry Ellison) and two are foreign (Mexico's Slim Helu and Spain's Amancio Ortega).
