9. no one is saying it's ok...

well, I've seen one guy here saying it is.. but no. We aren't on board.
What is exhausting is lefty firing up his sudden interest in fiscal responsibility.
At least I can say republicans spent too much damned money on disaster relief and military correction.
the dimocrats handed out free checks to dying solar panel companies and other pre-bankrupt assholes for almost a decade and we got NOTHING for it other than lost jobs. so I'm not in the mood to hear any preaching from dimocrats.. who ALSO voted for this latest bullshit, by the way.

12. Nah

Just pointing out that Republicans are no more fiscally responsible than Democrats. Obama increased the debt by 68% over Bush. Bush increased the debt by 101% over Clinton. Clinton increased the debt by 32% over Bush #41. Bush #41 increased the debt by 54% over Reagan and Reagan increased the debt by 186% over Carter.

7. Here's a link to a conservative spin

On why its so expensive: Obama's fault!
"The reasons why Guantanamo is so expensive"
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jan/18/jd-gordon-why-guantanamo-prison-is-so-expensive/
When this was written there were 121 prisoners. Now there are 41.

13. Guantanamo Bay

has been a working Navy base for a 100 years. The navy personal will stay if the military prison is there or not. Sorry they can't say the air traffic control team and base barber are part of the military prison.

"There’s also the cost of up to four halal meals a day." The navy is feeding over 2000 people 3 meals a day and some olives and cheese for 41 guys cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Military lawyers and judges are payed if the military prison on Gitmo is open or not. Transportation is flying into Guantanamo Bay 5 or more times a day if the military prison is open or not.

The desalination plant on gitmo is running if the prisoners are there or not.

I really don't care if these guys are in Guantanamo Bay or Pelican Bay prison but I don't buy the numbers they use.

Thanks. for the link.

11. That would have saved a lot of money

But they've all been sentenced now and there's no double jeopardy in the U.S. A few of the remaining 41 are recommended for release or transfer. I say save a lot of money and put them up at Mar a Lago.

17. All have been sentenced except for the 23 that have yet to be charged with anything, and the 10 that

are currently in the process of being tried by military commission (as of last December anyway). There's only three still there that have been tried and found guilty but not transferred.

Their numbers have it at $10+ million per detainee.

I said it before and now again what IDIOT(S) think its a Good idea to place terrorists into US civil prison?

we have enough problems with gang recruiting in prison, why the fuck would someone want to mix Islamic terrorists with Islamic crimanal prisoners?

What part of that seems a good idea?
