Mueller investigation coming up on a year, in May.

How much pressure is he under to show something other than tax issues and perjury?

1. And nearly two years

June of 2016,since he FBI opened their "collusion" investigation.

I think by now, even most Dems realise there was no collusion. But that's really not the point anymore, it's more to gin up enthusiasm for the Dem base. He can keep indicting a person every other month or so,on some goofy process crime.

It's all good.

2. He is running interference for his best bud Comey as much as anything at this point.

He should be under arrest but Mueller is keeping all those that hate Trump looking away.

4. Concur

That shouldn't have happened.

I think Starr was the third special counsel. And he quit before it was concluded.

5. He has 3 guilty pleas and dozens of indictments

With no sign of slowing down.

I think he's good.

6. None of which have a damn thing to do with the original mandate.

At this point he needs to wrap it up, or be defunded or fired. No investigator should have a blank check for endless investigation.

9. While I agree that none of it has anything to do with collusion

I think it bears remembering that Clinton was impeached using information on unrelated matters uncovered during an investigation

The original Whitewater investigation was in no way related to his pervy behavior and lying about it.

10. And I think that went way to far and way too long

In large part that is why the original Independent Prosecutor law was repealed and replaced with the current role Mueller is in. It was designed so the Executive and the DOJ could reel in an out of control investigator. Arguably by allowing this to go on forever the DOJ is not doing it's job of oversight and maintaining focus.

A President, any President cannot be an effective leader if constant endless investigations of ever increasing scope dog their entire term. If this one is not controlled every single President going forward will be hamstrung in exactly the same way. It's not good for the country.

8. Nothing to do with the reason for the investigation. All minor league stuff.

I wouldn't call it a waste of time .. but at this point, why continue?
