Glorifies slavery, the Confederacy and is still at the top of most "Best Film Ever" lists.

7. It has only taken 78 years to get there

And its there only if adjusted for inflation. But thanks so much for giving me the chance to mention that "Gone With the Wind" produced the first African American Academy Award winner, Hattie McDaniel, "Best Supporting Actress" of 1940.

Why am I not surprised that an alt.righter is happy about the glorification of slavery, a system that ultimately cost seventy hundred and fifty thousand white men, women and children their lives in the Civil War and led to the permanent destruction of states' rights yielding to the power and authority of the federal government.

But hey, if someone wants to put a movie released 78 years ago up against a movie released 4 weeks ago, that's fine with me. I guess that's a form of white (Unite The Right!) affirmative action!
