The New Yorker Warns of Creepy Infiltration of Chick-fil-A Restaurants in New York City..

The New Yorker announced in a blatantly anti-Christian essay Friday that the arrival of Chick-fil-A restaurants in New York City “feels like an infiltration, in no small part because of its pervasive Christian traditionalism.”

The April 13 article by Dan Piepenbring, ominously titled “Chick-fil-A’s Creepy Infiltration of New York City,” reads like old Ku Klux Klan propaganda against Catholics, Jews, and blacks. It is evident from the first line through the last that the only thing that disturbs Mr. Piepenbring about the restaurant chain is the overt Christian faith of its owners.

Apparently unaware of just how bigoted his essay sounds, Piepenbring offers as evidence of Chick-fil-A’s “creepiness” that its corporate headquarters in Atlanta “is adorned with Bible verses and a statue of Jesus washing a disciple’s feet. Its stores close on Sundays.”

It makes one shudder just to imagine it.

Mr. Piepenbring suggests, moreover, that there may be a sinister, “ulterior motive” behind the restaurant’s work, other than just selling chicken sandwiches, and it has to do with the G-word.

“The restaurant’s corporate purpose still begins with the words ‘to glorify God,’ and that proselytism thrums below the surface of the Fulton Street restaurant, which has the ersatz homespun ambiance of a megachurch,” the essay announces in what is clearly meant to be a frightening revelation.

As one observer has pointed out, the New Yorker would never dream of asking if Muslim- or Jewish-owned businesses should be allowed to “join” the New York community, but they believe it is perfectly acceptable to do so in the case of Christians.

2. All bigoted, hypocritical lib jerk offs like this Piepenbring

achieve when they put their anti-Christian hatred on display is ensure that people like me go out of their way to patronize and support whatever business or institution they're trying to destroy. Even in a lefty pus pod like NYC, there are a lot more decent people who think the same way than you would think.

5. Only One Chick Fil A In Oregon. (Far As I Know.)

And it's about four miles from The Compound. I drop by once in a while, if they have coupons or promos. Otherwise I'm a confirmed Subway diner.

("The Compound" is my affectionate name for the apartment complex in which I live.)

6. Subway? How can you stand their food?

I’m from the Philadelphia area so I guess I’m spoiled from all the good sandwich options.

12. There was a place called "chinks" (name came from the owner back from the 40's and he wasn't Asian)

but the PC crowd pressured the current owner into changing the name to To Joe's steaks, they were the best i have ever had to date

15. I have a friend....

Named Mickey Nigro. He opened a chicken place with Peruvian Style Roast Chicken. It was called Nigro's Chicken. The town he was in erupted (Southern California) Why? Because they can't SPELL and they can't READ!!!

The town supposed it was a play on the old chestnut that African-Americans are prone to liking Chicken and it was named Nigro's to promote it. Except his name is pronounced N-eye-Grow not Knee-Grow.

The typical manner in which to spell the anachronistic term is N-E-G-R-O.

Can't Spell, Cant Read.....CAN throw a fit!!!

16. I really, really don't like cheese steaks

I'm more of a cold sub/uncooked ingredients person. Overall, I really like Firehouse Subs.

8. This is common with atheists.

I was brought up in a very Christian household, but was never really into the God thing. I attended church while I was married to my first wife for 20 years because we wanted to raise the kids in a christian environment. Now that I've remarried and the kids are out of the house I no longer attend church and still don't believe in a higher being.

That being said, I do not find it necessary to justify my lack of belief by belittling those who do believe. Atheists seem to thrive upon it as if it's the only way to confirm their "superiority" over those who have a different belief system.

In my years attending church I met many incredibly intelligent people, far more intelligent than this asshole.

19. Hypothetically speaking, of course...

1)...mainstream Christians like myself have made the mistake for the last 110 years or so...

2)...of allowing a coarse and crude parody of the power of Christ as a force for good and truth and decency...

3)...to be hijacked and twisted into the self-idolatry of a "personal-Jesus" who confirms our prejudices, answers our desires, and offers us a gospel of personal prosperity over the true Gospel of love, faith, hope and service...

4)...as we wait not in joyful hope of the true deliverance of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ...

5)...but a martial Jesus, an avenging Jesus, an End-Times angry Jesus who comes to put our enemies to the sword...

6)...which I find inimical to the spirit of Christianity which has built, shaped and transformed this world for the last two thousand years...

7)...not sought its Apocalypse for the last hundred.

13. Oh the Horrors!!!!!

Just imagine:

1. A company that is now the 3rd largest fast food chain in the US (McD and Subway lead).
2. Give hundreds of thousands their 1st job experience
3. Close on sundays!
4. When disasters strike , open their restaurants and give away free food!

But it is why! that matters.

The founder established all this just to glorify Jesus! I am surprised the ACLU hasn't filed an injunction! Forget the Russians, the Syrians, Al-Queda or ISIS --Chick-fil a is a much deadlier threat!!!!!!!!

17. One additional irony is that this sanctimonious liberal schmuck undoubtedly lives within

a few miles of a mosque where the Imam regularly spews antisemitic bilge. That, of course, doesn't cause the needle on what passes for the liberal moral compass to flicker in the slightest. But a chicken joint owned by a devout Christian who has never called for the beheading of anyone.......we can't have that, can we?
