Left analysis: global warming the real reason people are fleeing socialist shithole nations
I guess the Guardian reporters have not seen pictures of the caravan when claiming they have nothing to eat:
![]() ![]() https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/oct/30/migrant-caravan-causes-climate-change-central-america The unseen driver behind the migrant caravan: climate change While violence and poverty have been cited as the reasons for the exodus, experts say the big picture is that changing climate is forcing farmers off their land – and it’s likely to get worse Thousands of Central American migrants trudging through Mexico towards the US have regularly been described as either fleeing gang violence or extreme poverty. But another crucial driving factor behind the migrant caravan has been harder to grasp: climate change. Most members of the migrant caravans come from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador – three countries devastated by violence, organised crime and systemic corruption, the roots of which can be traced back to the region’s cold war conflicts. “The main reason people are moving is because they don’t have anything to eat. This has a strong link to climate change – we are seeing tremendous climate instability that is radically changing food security in the region.”

6. And what was their diet a 100 years ago?
Using the global warming hoax as an excuse for them wanting to emigrate to the U.S. is fake news.

7. Surely is.
A hundred years ago they had to expend energy, burn calories to have a meal to eat. Obesity was no a problem then. Just how poor is a people who are lard asses that do not have to perform enough physical activity to maintain a healthy weight?

12. close enough
https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/countries-that-are-considered-socialist.html
https://www.quora.com/Why-did-socialism-fail-in-Honduras Why did socialism fail in Honduras? “The Nationalist and Liberal parties are the two main political parties in Honduras. They are often seen as primarily serving the interests of their own members, who receive jobs when their party gains power and lose them again when the other party wins. Both are seen as supportive of the elite who own most of the wealth in the country. Neither of them promote socialist ideals, even though in many ways Honduras is run like a democratic version of an old socialist state, with price controls and nationalized electric and land-line telephone services.” |

11. honduras and guatamala sre socialist?
these are "banana republics," owned and operated by the standard fruit and steamship corporation for its own benefit. socialist tendencies in a banana republic tend to be terminated by local (us trained) death squads, contrarevolutionary guerillas, or, in extreme cases, by us marines.
