Personally I hope the Supreme Court upholds the last DACA ruling for one reason

It will give the President so much power that we will not have to worry about the Congress the next two years.

Obama did that all on his own with an executive order, and if the Supreme Court rules in favor of the lower courts decision, then that would give President Trump unlimited power to act as he sees fit for the betterment of the American people.

1. The last thing

we need is to solidify the idea that presidents can create law with an EO.

4. Wouldn't happen

they like this idea, it fits nicely in their vision of the world were government has unlimited power so long as their guy is the one wielding the power.

5. Oh it would if President Trump used it to move funds from the Defense budget to the wall and

used it to outlaw Sharia Law, used it to dissolve Obamacare fully and finally, etc.

If the Supreme Court upholds that ruling on DACA, then he can do anything and yes they would howl and gnash teeth the whole entire time.

6. The president can't create permanent law via EO.

As Trump had proven by 86ing Obama's EOs.

8. But a left leaning judge

has tried to usurp presidential power by blocking trump nullifying one EO with another EO.

14. Ah, that is how it is supposed to work, but if the Supreme Court finds in favor of the lower court

then that will be tossed out the window as Precedent will be set going forward.

2. as noted for many years

conservatives want a "strong leader," a "unitary executive" and a top down command/control state.

we do not, leading to our satisfaction with presidents that you consider "weak."

9. You would be very very wrong in thinking that is what conservatives want!

We believe in limited federal govt.

It is the left that wants the heavy, big command and control state. The left has been the side that pass big govt. initiatives.

10. returning to specs' op

(confirming decades of adulation for strong republicans and ridicule of weak democrats)

"that would give President Trump unlimited power to act as he sees fit for the betterment of the American people."

11. Would not matter

The courts would still block Trumps EO'S and let stand that of leftist president.

Our government is so fucked up now that we have long passed being able to fix it by voting and if anybody thinks we can fix it by voting they are crazy.

We have to have an Article V Convention of the States to strip the federal government and the Judiciary of its power and to fix all that is broken.

This is the only peaceful way left to fix this country and put it back on track.

13. No they would not

SCOTUS makes the rules and they can change their rules every day if they wish and rule in a different direction. Another reason we need an Article V Convention of the States.

All it takes is a little mental gymnastics as we have seen over and over again. Judges are political as fuck and push their own agenda.
