DEMS are sooo stupid. "Those drugs come in thru entry points"

ok so if u take Lefty McFucktards advice and install more xray scanners and "electronics"... to cut off the flow thru entry points, what happens next?

Julio starts putting backpacks on mules and pushing them through the porous fence.

1. I live in Arizona.

I have lived here in Phoenix and in Tucson for almost 30 years now.

Illegal drugs come through entry points and through non-approved crossing points.

This is just more bullshit from Democrats. They lie. It is what they do.

9. I too am from AZ originally..

Dad liked to hunt Javelina. That means being in remote areas of Southern AZ. We bumped into hundreds if not thousands of illegals over the years. The entry points to the US for illegals are often wherever the cartels have set up drug trails.

My thought is Democrats dont know much about the area and listen to analysts. Those of us who know undeestand the danger at the border.

16. Exactly.

They have 'academics' who have studied it from some college in the North East yet have no real experience of the reality on the ground here in an actual border state.

14. You said it's stupid to put in more scanners.

But that is one of the measures you just mentioned - and the only one of them that would help at entry points, where most of the drugs are getting through. Which is it?

17. I just said...

With no wall, drugs can simply be pushed through the border by mules.

With no scanners the drugs can be driven through.

So we need all the above.

Is that really so complex?

I don’t think more scanners would have no impact without a wall.

7. Its simple really, make them legal,

Alcohol is extremely deadly and yet legal. If this were really about saving lives it would be banned. Freedom is Freedom weather you choose to drink yourself to death or do drugs. Big Gov and the war on drugs like poverty is a proven failure but Hey let them keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

make drugs legal and they would be far easier to control. You take all the money out of the hands of cartels and give it to industrial producers that can set standards.

But drugs are just one part of the problem. Democrats know that, yet they would rather play politics than protect the people of this country.

3. How would they know if drugs cross into the open border?

Who is calculating all the drug transports in the middle of nowhere? How can they even quantify the entirety of the movement of drugs so they know what the denominator is?

Isn’t this like trying to quantify the number of illegals? And then the percentage who crossed the border?

The answer is WE HAVE NO IDEA OF EITHER.

38. It's twue, it's twue!

I've got the uncensored version on DVD. Who can forget the hilarious candygram scene? But did you know there are a couple of lost scenes that are related?

The TV release included a "draw on the sheriff" scene where the hapless Mongo. And then there's a scene where the sheriff convinces Mongo to go hard hat diving in a well, during which the sheriff cuts his air off.

The release I have is the movie version. I have not been able to find a copy of the TV release. Until i figured it out, it was making me crazy because I knew those other two scenes were in there before but my friends were skeptical.

OD deaths escalating.

We can see the results but can’t quantify the problem because we aren’t monitoring it.

We have no idea who is in this country. 22 million strangers.

29. Who said we aren't monitoring it?

Now you actually deserve credit for making the point that it is hard to monitor, but the attempt is being made. That's why we have these estimates in the first place. But I doubt that we could be off by a factor of two. We have a pretty solid idea of how many citizens live in a certain area, and when you factor in economic statistics, number of households, school populations, etc., you can get an idea of how many illegals live in that area.

30. 11-22 million is a huge range wouldnt you say?

Not only do they not have a number, they don’t have IDENTITIES or CRIMINAL RECORDS.

When they couldn’t find the illegal who killed Officer Singh they didn’t even know which name he was using.

Government has let it all go to pot.

34. Maybe the government should be keeping track of us all

The Chinese are developing a system for that in their country. Or maybe that's going too far, if we still want to think of ourselves as a free country.

And of course there is a number, the conventionally accepted number is 11 million. That is an estimate, but unless we really do have a system like the Chinese are developing, estimates are going to be the best that we can do. The fact that there are alternative estimates, that are likely grossly inflated, on wingnut sites, doesn't really say much of anything.

20. Drug-Shooting 'Bazooka' Seized In Mexico As Smugglers Aim Skyward

Shooting drugs over the wall:
"As Mexican authorities continue to crack down on drug smugglers, criminals continue to aim high in a bid to evade them. Last week, Mexican authorities seized a jury-rigged bazooka and nearly one ton of marijuana in the border town of Agua Prieta in Sonora state, the Mexican Attorney General said in a statement.

The bazooka had been "adapted" to use a compressor for launching drugs into the United States. The Mexican daily El Universal reports the device was inside a van with a sliding roof, allowing the bazooka to shoot the drugs from the cover of the vehicle."

21. Drones become latest tool drug cartels use to smuggle drugs into U.S.

The Border Patrol busted a 25-year-old man on drug-smuggling charges earlier this month after agents accused him of picking up a load of methamphetamine that smugglers flew over the border with a drone.

Agents said they saw the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) cross near San Diego and tracked it to its landing spot about 2,000 yards into the U.S., where Jorge Edwin Rivera, an American citizen, was waiting. They nabbed him and more than 13 pounds of meth, which they estimated to be worth $46,000 on the streets.

22. For Chinese fentanyl sellers, USPS is the virtually guaranteed route to not get caught

"Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of fentanyl — and likely more — is pouring into the United States through international mail — and the federal government isn’t equipped to track it or prevent it from happening, according to a nearly yearlong bipartisan Senate investigation.

The 100-page report, released Wednesday from Sens. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Tom Carper (D-Del.) and conducted by the Senate’s permanent subcommittee on investigations, looked at just six online sellers offering fentanyl — the powerful opioid implicated in a growing number of overdose deaths. Five are based in China; investigators could not confirm the location of the sixth.

Those vendors — all found through a simple Google search — sent hundreds of packages to more than 300 U.S. based individuals. And they primarily used the government’s own U.S. Postal Service to carry the illicit cargo."

25. Well that sounds so easy

You wonder why the cartels bother with putting their stuff in tractor trailers. But can't tractor trailers carry a lot more drugs than mules?

Not that anyone is saying that we don't continue to protect the border (those nearly 20,000 officers down there aren't just there for show) and figure out how to do better. That will include all the measures suggested here, and it might even be cost effective and make sense to put up some more fencing here and there.

But let's face it, as long as people in this country want drugs, we'll never stop it completely.

33. No we shouldn't

And we shouldn't stop efforts at border security, right? Point is, this wall is not likely to do more then put in a dent in the problem, if it can be built at all in more than a few more sections of the border, and from what I see there are other, more cost effective ways of providing border security than this grandiose boondoggle.
