Coast Guard families told to hold garage sales.

Don’t you just open the government and declare the national emergency at this point?

Or do you keep begging for money and get laughed at?

3. Dude, you need to relax and quit sounding like a maniacal DUer.

If you took any time to read the article at all, you'd see that that paper was part of a support program that is NOT SPECIFIC to the shutdown.

Per the article:

The suggestions do not “reflect the Coast Guard’s current efforts to support our workforce during this lapse in appropriations,” said Lt. Cmdr. Scott McBride, a service spokesman. “As such, this guidance has been removed.”

Now, I'm sure that they have handed out forms to exempt them from paying rent for the next few months and their credit unions have most likely issued interest free loans and excused their current car loans/line of credits to get them through this time. You know, how REAL people help REAL people in times of need.

But that isn't the "gotcha" headline, is it?
