1. No way does rbg make it until 2024.

I doubt she will see 2020. Even money she sees June 2019.

6. Satan has lost his patience -- he is reclaiming soon

We know the pattern.

Next up: bedridden due to Pneumonia. After that, she goes 1980s USSR Premier.

This may already have happened.

2. Close call, but probably Trump

Not that he’s going to be impeached or any of that other nonsense, but rather because he will lose in 2020. Despite the RW vultures cheering on RBG’s death, she’s working on a daily basis and there’s no way Roberts will support any efforts to force her off. He will accommodate her health issues as long as possible.

It will be interesting to see if there’s a primary challenge to Trump (Paul? Romney?). In any case, we’re talking about big money here. The Dems will nominate a moderate candidate with a woman VP. And I bet they campaign in WI, MI, and PA. Whatever the case, it’ll be fun to watch.

7. A Republican Challenge to Trump....

....is unlikely. Never Trumpers are a very small minority of the Republican Party.

He's at what, 80% approval among Repubs? The longer he holds out for the wall the bigger this number will rise.

8. Assuming he gets the wall. If he doesnt all bets are off

And if he declares a National Emergency, he damages himself with the Independents. He really needs the Dems to compromise, give him a couple of billion, declare victory, and save face. Unfortunately for him the Dems know that.

We’ll see. Great theatre though.

16. Any Dem candidate who uses any form of the the two words gun and control

will lose those three states. They really don't realize just how many people that is a litmus test for. It really doesn't matter what, if any Party they are registered with. It's simply a third rail issue. Our home, with 4 guns that I will admit to is the least of any person locally I have ever known or met. There are several people just on my one mile long road alone who have dozens and even hundreds, and we are no anomaly. It is to rust-belters what abortion is to Evangelicals.

12. Obviously she wouldn't outlast Pence.

But Trump won't even be on the ballot in 2020.

13. LOL!! What color is the sky in your world?

Of COURSE he will be on the ballot in 2020. He has already declared. He has 80+% support in Republicans and easily 50% in the rest of Real America (who won't actually say it out loud).

19. Is there a "save link/thread" function?

I guess we will have to wait until the last day of official declaration for the GOP candidate.

If either officially declares to be OUT of the race, that will also qualify.

Of course if neither runs then it is a no-op.

18. The Republicans know any career establishment candidate guarantees a loss

It is why the Democrats are pushing the issue so hard. If a Romney or Romney like candidate is on the ballot I won't even bother going to vote, and there are millions like me. Expect Democrats to push hard for him. He'd be the best gift they could get.
