LIVE: Gunman in New Zealand shoots up mosque... Dozens dead.

Bad bad thing...

New Zealand has really tough gun laws so I'm curious how this happened.

When will people learn, humans are tribal animals and its best to let Tribes be to themselves.

1. New Zealand gun laws are actually pretty non-restrictive.

They are constantly used as a basis of comparison for Australia's far more restrictive gun laws, as evidence that the implementation of Australia's restrictive gun laws were not responsible for a downwards trend in crime, as New Zealand experienced the same downwards trend in crime without the added restrictions to firearms that Australia has.

4. Right. Now compare that to the number of countries that DON'T allow semi auto rifles, Period.

How many countries on earth allow their citizens to own AR15's, registered or not?

6. How many countries in the world have the second amendment to insure their freedoms?

What you are trying to sell is a mouth half full of BS is better than a mouth totally full of BS. I do mean the green runny kind.

I'll take neither. You can enjoy a half mouth full.

3. They are pretty strict about snakes as well. I don't believe they will even allow them into zoos.

7. They are increeeeedibly strict about what gets into that country

Getting off the plane at the Auckland airport, they made everyone toss out any produce they may have been eating on the plane before we made it to immigration and customs. Even apples.

It's more or less quarantined. They don't want *anything* from the outside touching the biosphere.

10. I mean, at least you're flying that flag

Most bigots try to be sneaky or talk around what they really mean. You're just full on out there. I almost respect that. I prefer people be straightforward.

11. There's quite a bit of that in general here.

Not as bad as stormfront.com by any stretch, but still quite a bit.

15. Sorry, but I'm not fond of people that want to kill me

I'm not fond of people that chant Death To America along with their daily prayers, and

People that believe if you are not a Muslim, you are an infidel and must die, and

People that have promised to destroy The Great Satan, the USA.

Obama said this country owes Islam a lot. We sure do. We owe them thanks for giving us a reason to create a navy to protect our ships and sailors from capture and enslavement

Their religion has no tolerance for people that are not Muslims, and they continuously assault non-Muslims, in the name of Allah, running them over with cars and trucks, maiming and killing them. They blow up innocent people, scattering their body parts over streets.

If you don't believe me, read their Koran

They are a violent, hateful religion and excuse me, but I can't support that.

17. They're likelier to kill me than you

If I can move forward and have a slightly complex understanding of people as individuals, you can too.

13. Members of European tribes are not indigenous to New Zealand

New Zealand’s indigenous peoples are Maori. They were conquered by Europeans who migrated from Europe.
When you migrate, you are forced to live with diversity. Just ask any Guatemalan sneaking across the New Mexico border today.

“Sometime between 1250 and 1300, Polynesians settled in the islands that later were named New Zealand and developed a distinctive Māori culture. In 1642, Dutch explorer Abel Tasman became the first European to sight New Zealand. In 1840, representatives of the United Kingdom and Māori chiefs signed the Treaty of Waitangi, which declared British sovereignty over the islands. In 1841, New Zealand became a colony within the British Empire and in 1907 it became a dominion; it gained full statutory independence in 1947 and the British monarch remained the head of state.”—Wikipedia
