Ex-CIA chief offers mea culpa on Trump: 'I don't know if I received bad information'

Former CIA chief John O. Brennan now says his months of attacks on President Trump may have been based on “bad information.”

One of the president’s harshest critics had a muted tone on Monday as he discussed special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” No evidence was found to support the claim that Mr. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign “conspired or coordinated” with Russia.

“Well, I don’t know if I received bad information but I think I suspected there was more than there actually was,” Mr. Brennan told host Joe Scarborough. “I am relieved that it’s been determined there was not a criminal conspiracy with the Russian government over our election.”

The former CIA head said he still maintained that some conversations between Mr. Trump’s campaign and Russians were “inappropriate.'' “I’m not all that surprised that the high bar of criminal conspiracy was not met,” he said.

3. You shouldnt. This is an attempt to cover his ass.

He’s not going go admit his role in fabricating that very same information in the first place.

9. Brennen has been around long enough to know that the sort of people

Who talk about this have heart attacks, are the victims of “robberies gone wrong” or commit suicide by shooting themselves twice in the back of the head. 10 years off his sentence is the least of his problems. He’s going to play dumb, hope everyone else does too, and pray that it goes away. That may actually work. It’s going to be very difficult to prove without cooperating witnesses, and any potential ones who know enough to do damage also know what will happen if they cooperate.

Hell, he got away with an “oops, my bad, I had no idea” when he had his people spy on the senate intelligence committee years ago and then lied to the committee about it. No admission of any wrongdoing on his part, and as far as I know, didn’t even give up the name of the people directly responsible. That’s his game plan here too.

2. Isn't Brennan in the business of determining the validity of information?

Isn't his statement the equivalent of Emeril saying "I didn't realize I was working with a bunch of shitty raw materials to make my dishes"?

6. ''Well, I dont know if I received bad information...'' and this guy was a CIA chief/head???????????

"The former CIA head said he still maintained that some conversations between Mr. Trump’s campaign and Russians were “inappropriate.''....and WHAT about the conversations between Mrs Clinton's campaign and Russians...why do those get a free pass from ''the FORMER CIA head" claim of being "inappropriate"???

7. Deep Swamp scum. Traded on his "reputation" to bash the sitting president.

But the media will gladly have him back to push their next fake news narrative.
