More Democrat Mayors Resigning and Being Prosecuted for Vote Fraud

More Democrat mayors in Texas, New Jersey, and Oregon have come under a cloud of vote fraud investigations.

Mayor Richard Molina, of Edinburg, Texas, and Francesco Caramagna, the mayor of Elmwood Park, New Jersey, have both come under fire for perpetrating vote fraud, according to the Daily Signal.

Edinburg, Texas, Mayor Richard Molina doesn’t plan to go anywhere. Molina won the mayor’s race in November 2017 by 1,240 votes. But on April 25, Texas Rangers arrested the mayor and his wife, Dalia, alleging the couple ran a voter fraud scheme to put him in office.

After about a week of silence, the mayor said Thursday the charges won’t affect his job, and asked Edinburg residents to respect his constitutional rights to due process.

“We respectfully deny any criminal wrongdoing and look forward to defending ourselves in the proper venue. That is a courtroom,” Molina said in the video statement. “These charges will not affect my ability to perform the people’s work as your mayor. I only ask that you respect our constitutional right to a fair trial and due process.“

Officials say that Molina launched a campaign of getting voters to fraudulently change addresses so that they could vote for him.

In New Jersey:

Francesco Caramagna, the mayor of Elmwood Park, New Jersey, isn’t putting up as much of a fight, as he reportedly resigned from office on April 29 amid charges of interfering in the secrecy of the election process.

Prosecutors allege Caramagna filled out portions of mail-in ballots and primary election ballot certifications.

Then a group of Democrats and others in Oregon have been arrested for voter fraud there.

In Oregon, 10 people were convicted of voter fraud stemming from the 2016 election, The Oregonian newspaper reported. The arrests came after the Oregon secretary of state’s office, which oversees elections, forwarded evidence to the state’s Justice Department that 56 people engaged in fraud.
The newspaper reported that four Democrats, one Republican, one Libertarian, and four others not affiliated with a political party were convicted.
Most cases involved people voting in two different locations—in some cases, two separate states. None of the cases resulted in jail time, and the maximum penalty was $1,000.

1. Democrats don't steal elections.

They merely make corrections when voters make the wrong choice.

2. Virginia vote fraud

From this week: NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A special prosecutor in Virginia said Monday that he’s presented two indictments of election fraud against someone who worked on a failed re-election campaign for a Republican congressman last year.

Special prosecutor Donald Caldwell said his investigation into Scott Taylor’s 2018 campaign in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District is still ongoing.

Caldwell released a lengthy statement that offered fresh details on a months-old ballot-fraud scandal that clouded, if not doomed, Taylor’s bid for a second term in the district along Virginia’s coast.

The scandal started after some of Taylor’s campaign staffers were accused last summer of forging voter signatures to place a third-party “spoiler candidate” on November’s ballot.

The strategy was widely viewed as an effort to draw votes away from Taylor’s Democratic opponent, now a congresswoman, who had the backing of national Democrats.

Taylor was a rising political star with a seat on the House Appropriations Committee. The freshman congressman was also a former Navy SEAL in a district with the world’s largest Navy base and a heavy population of veterans.

Taylor was being challenged by Elaine Luria, a former Navy commander who also had some momentum from the so-called blue wave against President Donald Trump.

4. North Carolina vote fraud

“North Carolina operative indicted in ballot fraud scandal that led to new House election”

North Carolina state investigators laid out in detail last week an “unlawful,” “coordinated,” and well-funded plot to tamper with absentee ballots in a US House election that remains uncalled more than three months after Election Day — finally bringing clarity to one of the most bizarre election scandals in recent memory.

The state election board, after hearing four days of evidence indicating fraud and an attempt to conceal the scheme from state investigators, then voted to order a new election. Republican candidate Mark Harris has announced he won’t run in the upcoming campaign.

Now Leslie McCrae Dowless, the local political operative contracted by Harris’s campaign whose activities were at the center of the investigation, has been indicted on three counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice, and two counts of possessing an absentee ballot in violation of state law, according to the Wake County prosecutor’s office.

During last week’s hearing, state investigators established their theory of the case — that Dowless directed a coordinated scheme to unlawfully collect, falsely witness, and otherwise tamper with absentee ballots — and workers who said they had assisted him in the scheme delivered damning testimony. The hearing’s first day ended with Dowless, under the advice of his attorney, refusing to testify before the election board.

5. Texas Republicans claim of voter fraud falls apart

Texas Retracts Claim of Mass Voter Fraud Touted by Trump, Agrees to Halt Planned Purge

On January 25, Texas Secretary of State David Whitley issued a shocking advisory alleging that 95,000 noncitizens were on the state’s voter rolls, 58,000 of whom had cast at least one ballot. Whitley, a Republican, directed county registrars to commence an immediate purge of these noncitizens using lists he would provide. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, also a Republican, promptly tweeted a “VOTER FRAUD ALERT” summarizing Whitley’s findings, and President Donald Trump repeated Whitley’s claims two days later. By that point, counties had already begun notifying targeted voters that they would be purged from the rolls.

On Friday (April 26), Whitley quietly promised to rescind his January advisory and halt Texas’ voter purge as part of a settlement with multiple voting rights groups. The factual basis of Paxton and Trump’s tweets has been not just undermined, but fully REVOKED. Friday’s settlement is a good reminder to be incredibly skeptical of government officials who make eye-popping claims of voter fraud and whose partisan interests are at stake. Over and over and over again, these claims are later proved to be extremely dubious—if not outright false.

12. I dont have the slightest issue with voter ID.

I would like to see the Democratic Party providing photo IDs for the new people it is trying to get to register to vote.

Its ironic that one of the eight states that has mandatory photo ID required to vote, North Carolina had the biggest election fraud scandal of 2018 which ended up costing the Republicans a seat in Congress and possibly prison for some Republican election consultants. Voter ID didn’t prevent illegal filling in ballots for perfectly legal absentee voters.
