8. Some of the states with the lowest unemployment rates

Are blue states (ie Hawaii: 2.8%, Vermont: 2.3% and Virginia: 2.9%). What Democrats are not going to do is foster trade wars that force farmers into bankruptcy.

18. Because protectionism has always been big with unions

And unions have always been big with Democrats. Historically, Republicans were always more free traders.

24. Or it could be that some democrats are able to think for themselves

and realize that it's time to level the field on tariffs.

15. I dont see a problem

Democrats thought that way in 2008 and 2012 too. All political parties have always thought about election strategies to win a majority of the electoral college. For Dems in 2020, its win the states that Obama won twice.
His totals of 365 and then 332 electoral votes were overkill.

23. If those were an ''overkill'', WTF do you call Clinton's 370/379, Bush's 426, Reagan's 489/525,

"His totals of 365 and then 332 electoral votes were overkill."

...Nixon's 520, LBJ's 486, IKE's 442/457, FDR's 472/523/449/432, Hoover's 444, Coolidge's 382, Harding's 404, Wilson's 435...???

25. The error...

Is that some states would never vote Trump. The other error is that apptival numbers equate to voting for the "other," guy.

I still see no evidence that Americans were swayed by Obama's policy decisions but rather in the first election many were eager to be a part of history and Obama woke the dormant minority vote. Until their is another minorify candidate, they will sleep again.

If the economy is still steaming along Trump will carry every state he did last time plus a couple more.

19. and Michigan

all three went for Trump last time and it's hard to see how Biden would capture them as things are now - Minnesota will be a challenge to stay D.
