Border Wall to Go Up in National Monument, Wildlife Refuge

The U.S. government plans on replacing barriers through 100 miles of the southern border in California and Arizona, including through a national monument and a wildlife refuge, according to documents and environmental advocates.
The Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday again waived environmental and dozens of other laws to build more barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Funding will come from the Defense Department following the emergency declaration that President Donald Trump signed this year after Congress refused to approve the amount of border wall funding he requested.

4. ".....Some things are sacred....."

And you, sir, expect that those crossing our borders illegally would respect and take care for the natural wildlife and resources?

9. But it's hard work putting up barriers on private land.

Trump needs a section of his vanity wall pronto, before the 2020 election!

Make you a deal. We will convince Trump to stop building the wall, if you geta bunch of your other SJW friends together, send your addresses to teh White house, so we can send all the illegal immigrants to your houses so you can care for them.

The rest of us- we will gladly welcome those who come in legally!

11. I have a counter-proposal

After Trump illegally uses Pentagon money to build his vanity fence, let's send to your house all the ones that get through anyway.

13. Well that is moot!

Because Trump in conjunction with the DOD can use defense money to build a wall!

23. You called it a fence

that they are replacing the existing structure with, so what they have now is apparently not doing a very good job, which you say is your beef, so you must at least be happier about the new "fence."

What is your source on the new 'Fence" construction type?

27. An unenforced border isn't a real border, its an imaginary one.

For most people I wouldn't have to add the qualifier 'real' before border.

29. Of course you are.

Because "more enforcement" as you define it, is the functional equivalent of sticking ones finger in a dike.

It provides just enough plausible deniability to say "see, we're trying", while your side cooks the books by redefining everything (a game you lefties have played many MANY times and continue to play) and does little to nothing to actually END the problem.

15. Dead babies don't bother them but a fence makes 'em nuts?

A very strange set of "values" at work.

The murder of a third trimester child is just fine with them. But put up a fence on public land and they get all freaky.

Might just be that Trump is completing another campaign promise, and that's what really scares the shit out of them.
