9-11... Has the nation forgotten?

I think yes.

18 years ago. If you were under 15 years old, it probably didn't make much of an impact mentally.
That means that all of those under 35-ish don't bear scars from the day.

All those Antifa folks... All those Dem Congresswomen...

Clueless.

I have no elaborate stories to tell. I was in the Pacific Time Zone. I woke up to news that 2 planes had crashed into the towers. I drove my kid to school and heard of the collapses and the Pentagon and PA crashes.

Watched TV the rest of the day. Didn't see any of it on live TV.

3. I woke up after the first plane crashed (on Pacific time)

and they still weren't sure if it was an accident or not.

Watched the second plane hit live.

There was a short time when they were showing people jumping from the buildings (they stopped doing that after a while) and it was an awful thing to watch.

4. It's really difficult to remember it all.

They kept showing the plane #2 impact so many times that mentally I thought I'd seen it hit live.

But in retrospect, I remember my routine getting my son ready for school and I wouldn't be awake with the TV turned on at 6AM...

5. I haven't forgotten.

I have family that live near the Flight 93 " crash " zone.

The people in that area say it was shot down.

7. i do like the "official story" of flight 93

the phone calls, the inspiring camaraderie of the doomed passengers, "lets roll!,"

I also think that that story is fiction, offered as a course of action for future passengers in similar situations.

there is plenty of evidence that flight 93 was shot down with a heat seeking missile.

21. That makes no damn sense at all

Why would an Air Force jet have to "zap" a radar before downing a commercial aircraft? Number 1, that is not standard procedure. Number 2, I don't think an Air Force fighter jet could even power the equipment necessary to "zap" all frequencies. Number 3, a commercial airliner is completely helpless and there is no need to "zap" its radar. Number 4, if the Air Force jet was zapping the airliners radar, why would it cause lights on the ground to flicker?

6. I remember every minute of that morning.

I watched the second plane hit the WTC and watched both towers collapse live. My favorite stop on my DC tours is the 9-11 Pentagon Memorial when I talk extensively about that very morning.

8. Long story

The reason I won’t ever forget. My wife was an American Airlines flight attendant. A few years ago a musical play opened at the LaJolla Playhouse here in San Diego called “Come From Away.” It tells the true story, based on actual interviews with the real people involved of what happened to planes that were in the air on 9/11 and if they were still closer to North America than to Europe they were all called back to land in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada (population 12,000). The airport in Gander has what used to be the longest runway in the world when it was the main refueling base for military and commercial flights to Europe. On 9/11 the people of Gander took in every passenger and crew member, some 7,000 strangers from 38 planes.
My wife was so moved by the play that she became an investor in it and luckily it has become a huge Tony Award winning hit and is still playing in theaters around the globe. The cast did performances in Gander. The play was performed at the high school hockey rink and just about every townsperson attended one or two performances.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_from_Away

For rightys, one of the main characters in the play is one of the first female captains for American Airlines. I’ve met the real pilot and her husband. They are Texans and HUGE Trump supporters!

16. I stopped working in lower Manhattan a few years before 9/11.

I remember one of the early videos showed the escalator from the PATH train I used to take to the WTC everyday. I haven’t forgotten a goddam thing.

20. I remember it very clearly

I woke up early that morning and caught a flight from Providence to Pittsburgh. So far so good. I then made my connecting flight which would take me to Nashville. While en-route to Nashville the Captain made an announcement and stated that a plane had flown into one of the twin towers in New York. No other details. I was thinking to myself that some local pilot screwed up and crashed his Cessna. Shortly after the Captain came on again and said that we were being diverted to Columbus, OH. Again, no further details. At that time I realized that this was something more than a Cessna crashing into one of the towers.

After landing in Columbus and deplaning I was struck by how chaotic the airport was. It was packed and people were scurrying everywhere. I went straight to a payphone and called my wife. At this time I had not seen or heard any news. When she answered the phone she immediately told me that the Pentagon had been hit by a plane. I told her that the stupid Captain told us a plane hit one of the twin towers. At the time my wife said, paraphrasing here, "You have no idea what happened do you?" She then proceeded to tell me that both of the towers were hit, one had collapsed and that the Pentagon was hit.

I knew then that I was not going to fly out of Columbus that day. I also knew that hundreds of people were already in the que for the airline to provide them with a hotel. I called my office and had my secretary arrange for a hotel in Columbus for the night and a rental car. I stayed the night in Columbus. In the morning I drove to Paducah, KY which was my original destination for 9/11. I stayed in Paducah for the week as scheduled and returned to Columbus for my flight home. That flight home was nerve wracking. The cockpit doors were still not secured at that time and I don't think I took my off of the cockpit entrance the entire flight.

22. Forgotten? No. It is worse than that.

Less than 7 years later, the democrats ran a muslim-named, black guy, for President. Raised as a muslim, in a muslim country. No experience, voted "present" on every bill he bothered to vote on while a "Senator". Bowed down to EVERY muslim dictator he could find. Tasked NASA to ignore space exploration, focus on "global warming" and spend a lot of time praising muslims for their "contribution" to the space program. Attempted to "fundamentally change America" (and it seems that he has succeeded). Recently, democrats have gone farther, actually electing traitorous muslims to Congress.

Forgotten? No.

23. I read an article just yesterday...

..where the author was a high school teacher. In it, he said that he asked his 7th grade class what year 9/11 occured.

Only two kids knew the right answer.
