Did China just tell Trump to go fuck himself?

Politico, 10-8-2019

" China rejects Trump’s call to investigate Biden and son "

" “China has long pursued the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries,” foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said on Tuesday.

“We have no intention of intervening in the domestic affairs of the United States. Our position is consistent and clear.”

Trump said last week that Ukraine and China should investigate former vice-president Biden and his son, Hunter, and that he had “tremendous power” and a “lot of options” going into the China-U.S. trade talks. "

3. "principle of non-interference in internal affairs of other countries."

I suppose the USA has a hard time grasping that concept.

The MIC and Big Oil would go insane!

7. Actually...

Xi is in trouble. Complete mismanagement of China's biggest trade partner.

China enjoys WTO protections that the US looks like it will be successful in getting signatories to reorganize.

That drops China as a developing economynand allows other world economies to use tools to deal with the affects of state capitalism.

Talk about what you know.

6. Hardly unexpected

nothing at the level of any potential corruption involving the US VP happens in China without the leadership's direct approval, so if anything inappropriate was going on they were entirely comfortable with it. As such why would they want to investigate something they either signed off on or believe didn't happen? The big difference between the China and Ukraine situations is that Ukraine has new leadership who is at least appearing to try to root out corruption while China's leaders remain in their previous positions.

10. China will fully investigate this if they havent already.

They may never admit to it, but they won’t pass up the chance to find dirt in their own backyard on a US presidential candidate.
