Best President, Worst President... Huh?

I see the DUmmies started another long thread claiming Trump is the worst President ever... Again.

Numerous surveys among pointy headed liberal elites are used to support this claim.

I will argue that it's an impossible claim to make.

Because you can't define BEST.

HERE'S THE EXTREME EXAMPLE.

Lincoln is consistently rated top 3 but he's also connected to the very worst era in American history.

In fact, it can be argued that Lincoln blundered his way into the Civil War, clumsily acted as CiC and turned out to be quite the butcher.

To rate Lincoln or FDR highly, one must judge a President on their use of POWER. Lincoln suspended Habeus Corpus and ordered his military to attack civilian targets. FDR made damaging changes to the country and finished his Presidential career by sucking off Joe Stalin and giving him Central Europe with a bow and ribbon.

Is wielding POWER the measure of greatness?

I think not.

Presidents should be judged like great NFL coaches.

Google it.

1) Belichick. 5 Super Bowl wins, 7 AFC titles.

2) Vince Lombardi. 2 Super Bowl wins, 3 NFL Championships.

3) Paul Brown. 3 NFL Championships, 4 AAFC Championships.

4) Bill Walsh. 3 Super Bowl wins.

5) Don Shula. 2 Super Bowl wins, 6 AFC titles.

See a pattern? It's winners.

Look at some of the Presidential rankings. One of them has Obama at #8. That's ridiculous. His Presidency is no more than an asterisk *First Black President. He accomplish nothing.

Most surveys have JFK in the top 10. Wtf? JFK laid the groundwork for the Vietnam War, nearly got us into WW3 and had no real accomplishments.

FDR. Consistently top 3 in surveys, beating out Washington and Lincoln in many surveys. But excelled at abuse of power, created the New Deals (aka Marxism) and will always be remembered for internment, opposing anti-lynching legislation and starting the Cold War by appeasing Stalin.

IMHO...

Presidents should be judged by the fruits of their labor, meaning how the nation as a whole fared during their administration.

I rank Bill Clinton positively, as the 90's were prosperous and upbeat.

Presidents should also judged by the difficulty of their challenges and their level of success in achieving success.

Andrew Jackson and Donald Trump rolled into dirty DC and upset the Swamp.

3. Not to be picky but Belichick has six Super Bowl wins. ....

If you combine his time as an assistant coach he has won eight.

JFK was actually trying to get us out of Vietnam which may be why he was assassinated by the Deep State.

JFK’s Vietnam Withdrawal Plan Is a Fact, Not Speculation
https://www.thenation.com/article/jfks-vietnam-withdrawal-plan-fact-not-speculation/

I would rate Jimmy Carter as the worst president in my lifetime but also the nicest of the bunch.

I would rate Trump as the best president in my lifetime (at this point) but also the most obnoxious and egotistical of the bunch.

5. Still I agree with your basic contentions.

“ Presidents should be judged by the fruits of their labor, meaning how the nation as a whole fared during their administration.”

6. Bill Clinton had the luxury of serving as POTUS during peacetime created by Reagan.

This allowed him to cut spending and balance the budget (even though being forced by Republicans to do so) to create prosperous times.

7. FDR is by far the worst...

Due to legacy.

He got us into WWII which turned out to be a positive...however...his policies and actions created the cold war. The cold war is the reason for all modern American foreign policy problems.

The New Deal and perhaps WORSE was the adoption of Keynesian Economics which is still used today.

Keynsianism is the reason the US government still tries to inteevene and effect market forces. It is the reason that congress feels the need to throw money at everything and the reason we tax and spend in a never ending cycle.

FDR and his bitch Truman invited the UN to make WWII the last war....because of our treaty alliances...the US never stops fighting wars.

FDR implemented subsidies for Ag which when coupled with NAFTA led to the illegal immigration explosion. FDR also started the Braceros program which created the first instances of illegal immigration into the hinterlands.

Social Security and Medicare plagues us today....the first mention of Nationalized Health Care in the US was by his bitch Truman

Wage and Price freezes created employer based insurance. Which has created a system that is great as long as you are in the system. If you arent you are in bad shape
Prior we had a free amarket system which allowed everyone the opportunity to get medical attention.

Social Security helped break down the traditional family. When people get old they throw them in a home...thanks to Social Security.

So much shit is linked back to his presidency.
