1. This is the leftist brain trust?

Territories have to petition.

By legislative act.

That means they need legislatures.

Which means they need elections.

Which means they needs recognized political divisions.

Which requires a state constitution.

Which requires the federal congress to pass an enabling act.

And then congress gets to decide whether or not to admit the petitioner.

Or congress can act unilaterally.

Whichever way they try, it's not getting past the GOP.

DC was set up that way on purpose. And how in the hell are they going to create 100 new states, add all of South America to the union

In essence the whiners about gerrymandering are suggesting gerrymandering half the population into Federal servitude.
