Most people say "mom jeans." The word "mammy" has some very dark connotations. Tell us again how entirely innocent that is and show us how you apply that in all instances.

4. Bush looked more ridiculous because he actually did this.

Its another point on the Bush Failure Scale.

When some one wants to claim a President made a mistake, they now compare it to one of Bush's numerous failures.

Conservatives rarely get the irony.

12. It's not 'deflection' when it's the truth, Or we could play it your way and say that

you're using Obama to deflect from the truth that the last administration was nothing but a bunch of liars and their leader was a moron so therefore we shouldn't be blaming them for starting all this shit in the first place.

Does that work for you?

For the umpteenth time stop pointing out that Bush was a disaster and Obama is following his lead!

We get it.

Bush was a disaster, and Obama is making a horrible mistake by emulating the worst president ever.

As far as the SCOTUS crap, every recount ever done by any organization found Mr. Bush to be the winner. I suggest you grow out of the 20th century and join us in the 21st. Either that or just get the hell over it and "moveon.org."

"lovely" was a prerequisite.

Were you an adult when the peanut farmer was president? If yes, you have a terrible memory. It's not always about policies, or laws that are passed. Sometimes it's just a feeling of fatigue. Time for a change. The country outgrew carter. He of the gas lines and the Mister Rogers sweaters.

Although Nixon wasn't all bad policy wise, not to mention the EPA. Reagan raised taxes, gave amnesty, and tucked tail and ran from Beirut - add in Iran contra and maybe Nixon wasn't so bad really. Neither of them could get elected dog catcher by republicans today.

27. You don't have to love Obama to be objective

Of course, some people just like trolling (easier than actual thinking).

Every president has some decent and bad points. If it helps, just compare one group within itself - example, Reagan was awesome compared to bush jr, who was, in my lifetime, the biggest disaster - I'd take nixon over him. Bush Sr was better than Junior. Ford held his own for the short time he was there.

Dem vs Dem, (I was born in 65) Clinton (Whom I didn't vote for) over carter, Johnson - made a mess of Vietnam but did push for civil rights, I would take Obama over him. Obama is lacking in the skills Clinton had but both are/were too cozy with banking industry.

29. Nonsense.

Carter created more jobs in his first (and only) term than Reagan did in his first term, for starters.

Reagan also set us on the irrational, foolish path which is destroying this country. Reagan also took the US from the largest creditor nation on Earth to the largest debtor nation on Earth. And so on.

Carter was a hang nail; Reagan was a malignant tumor that still eats away at the vitals of this nation.

You're right. You win. I give up. It wouldn't matter to me if obama DID part the sea, and it doesn't matter to you that Reagan ended the cold war without a shot being fired. Just because he defeated your socialist comrades without firing a shot, you're still holding a grudge.

34. Reagan didn't end the Cold War

Gorbachev did. And even more than Gorby, demographics ended the Cold War. A highly educated USSR run by the Russians wasn't tenable. This was predicted by very credible people as early as the 1970s. A highly educated USSR run by the Russians wasn't demographically tenable much past 1985. It is to Gorbachev's everlasting credit that he didn't decide to have the USSR go out with a bang.

49. That's a lame (and untrue) excuse to cut and run

Speaking of cut and run, that's what Reagan did in Lebanon. That, Dr., is a fact.

Carter created more jobs in his first and only term than Reagan did in his first term. That is a fact.

Reagan took us from largest creditor nation to largest debtor nation. That is a fact.

Reagan (re-)instituted the disastrous trickle-down economics that led to both the Great Depression and the Great Recession. That, too, is a fact.

The USSR fell not because of any move by America, but by demographic shifts in the population (The USSR was no longer populated by peasants.) coupled with their failure in Afghanistan, and of all things a fight against alcoholism, leading to large-scale civil unrest. Those, also are facts.

Now, what is it that Reagan is supposed to have done to "end the Cold War" -aside from meet with the man that actually did end the Cold War?
