Will the GOP Senate send Iran any more open letters?

They sent the first one as a courtesy to Iran, hoping to give them valuable information about how our government works.

Will they send some more? There's a lot more information about how our government works that Iran should know about.

1. Yes, they'll ask that Iran start buying nuclear materials from Halliburton again

Halliburton Charged with Selling Nuclear Technologies to Iran

According to journalist Jason Leopold, sources at former Cheney company Halliburton allege that, as recently as January of 2005, Halliburton sold key components for a nuclear reactor to an Iranian oil development company. Leopold says his Halliburton sources have intimate knowledge of the business dealings of both Halliburton and Oriental Oil Kish, one of Iran’s largest private oil companies.

3. Why would they send a letter to Obama

if they were trying to inform Iran about how our government works?

9. Informing Iran that any bullshit deal Iran hoped they could sucker a desparate-for-legacy Obama...

... into agreeing to would not pass Congressional muster. The hoo-haa was all about the addressee, not the content. Address Obama, tell the world, Iran will figure that there are too many people involved for them to succeed...

6. It has become apparent that Iran knows more about how our government works than the 47 Republicans.

I think every Congress Critter should have to take and pass the same test we give non-citizens desiring citizenship.
That would weed out a lot of the ignorant flakes we have in there now. Roy Blunt (R) Missouri, I am looking at you!

18. Maybe. Maybe not. Since Obama's the "first thing I knew about the Hillary private

email was when I read it in the paper", I am now so sure. But what has occurred in this government in the last week leaves far far more to worry about than stupid emails. The letter from the Senate has to be addressed promptly or we slip silently into a de facto banana republic. I'll pass on discussing it further. I'm still trying to contact someone in OK about the end of marriage licenses so I can spread the word. But I am sure you will be monitoring everything. Good luck.

7. Kim Jong-un Feels Snubbed by Absence of Letter from Republicans (satire alert)

Some satire is appropriate here http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/kim-jong-un-feels-snubbed-by-absence-of-letter-from-republicans

PYONGYANG (The Borowitz Report)—The North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un said on Tuesday that he feels “snubbed” by the decision of forty-seven Republican senators to write a letter to Iran but not to him, the official North Korean news agency reported.

In an unusually forthcoming interview with the Korean Central News Agency (K.C.N.A.), Kim said it was “hurtful” that the Republicans would send a letter to one of the United States’ most longstanding enemies while “totally snubbing” another.

“Let’s just call it what it is: they’re playing favorites with enemies,” Kim said. “I try not to take things personally, but it’s hard to see them sending letters to Iran without feeling a little bit hurt.”

Kim said that over the past two days he had his aides checking his mailbox on an hourly basis in hopes of finding a letter from the Republicans, but now he has “pretty much given up hope.”

“Honestly, I thought I’d at least rate a text or something, but … ,” he said, his voice trailing off.

“I don’t like to beat myself up, but part of me is like, ‘What does Iran have that I don’t have?’ ” he said. “I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like, when you actually get nuclear weapons, people start taking you for granted."

8. Iran doesn't care how our government works.

They don't honor any agreements they sign anyway. So why should they care?

and did not send a letter.

So do you think *this* Congress will send Iran any more letters?

21. Here's a shot of the letter signed by several dems as well as the Speaker

https://twitter.com/JMichaelWaller/status/575316138969686016/photo/1

Not to mention Pelosi actually visiting Assad when W was trying to get rid of him, Kerry also visiting Orteiga, and couple of other times people visiting Saddam concerning the run up to the Iraq war. Of course, those guys were right, Bush (actually Cheney IMO) was going to do whatever it took to invade
