Incrumental Progress is 100% better, than getting nothing. 10% of something is always better

than 100% of nothing.

I 100% times 100% times 100% disagree with the following article- which can be found on this thread
at the sister site (where as one knows, I have no way of posting on that forum as I was bounced
But let's just say I have never disagreed more with any article so need to express that disagreement to the article in the op in the following link-

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511879425

note- not going to give publicity to the link in that piece in the OP, just say I am 100% against the gist of that article.

BUT reply #27, 28 and 29 are 100% spot-on perfect.
A shoutout to both of those posters, wish they would come over here and post.

and note-
John Edwards was the single worst VP choice in history by any party, as I had argued back in 2004 at that time.
If only John Kerry was not (by Tad Devine who was on John Edwards campaign and later moved to the Kerry/Edwards campaign) forced to take him.
John Kerry has been much maligned (and is today maligned by many but not all who back Bernie.
I would choose John Kerry over Bernie 24/7/365.
John Kerry is good people, he was swiftboated, and he was the biggest liberal in the senate for a long time
before, and after, yet he was called vile names by the Edwards folks and continues today being maligned
by some of the Bernie folks as being rightwing.
And no, neither John nor Hillary voted for what W did in Iraq.
It's time people rose and fought those slanderous allegations against John and Hillary and many others.
Most Democratic persons who voted did NOT vote for what W did. They voted for what he should have done and were blindsighted by what he did.
(and remember that the Honorable Tom Daschle could have died, his office received a packet of white stuff
at just the time he and his wife were maligned on talk radio).

Oh, if only Kerry picked Bob Graham or Richard Gephardt, or Tom Daschle, or Barack Obama, he would have won.

1. Now here's something we can agree on!

No, of course we don't want to repeal the NFA! We just want to remove silencers from it - it's a common sense change. Next year we'll just simply want to remove SBS's and SBR's. No big deal, really.

2. kerry is a skull and bonesman

i think he took a dive for his fraternity brother, and would have lost whoever his vp choice.

i agree in substance with pmorlan's link in the du thread. 10% regression per year is rapidly returning us to the gilded age. at some point, soon, violent revolution becomes necessary.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." jfk

4. that is just conspiracy theory stuff but if one believes in conspiracy theories then

one believes the conspiracy theory hokum (illuminati stuff) about the church, yet Bernie ran to visit the pope

so if doing conspiracy theory stuff, it should be consistent

(after all, I am a fan of those Tom Hanks movies which talked about that stuff, but that stuff is pure fiction)

Though I myself would agree that all frats on college campus should be shut down because it is a relic
from the "Animal House" movie days and leads to bad stuff to co-eds on campus.

and I for one wish there was a plan B ACA type offered by the Clinton's after they were shut down in 1993,
if that had happened, we would have accomplished a lot more now by President Obama.
Which was the main reason Caroline and Ted Kennedy backed the President in 2008 because he thought there should be a plan B.

BTW, I don't hate Wall Street. It is just a cobblestone street where workers, 99% of them working 9 to 5,
millions of them, and tens of millions of others in industries like the food industry, and the paper plate and paper box industry and the delivery people for those places feed the people who work there.

Does it ever go through Bernie's head where those tens of millions of people would work if there were no wall street or no banks if all at a snap of his waving mystical fingers would get rid of them?

More and more Bernie Sanders=Ron and Rand Paul.
Hopefully Rand Paul will lose in November his senate seat, and never again will any of the Paul dynasty
be in elected office.

Note I don't buy that conspiracy theory stuff (skull and bones) but yes, I am in favor of all frat's being shut down completely as the Animal House culture is from another time and place (and didn't do John Belushi any good either). (If only Narcan was available back then).

3. The expression used to be, "Half a loaf is better than no loaf" but it looks as if

Hillary has got you downgrade your expectations to making due with just 10%.

Vote Hillary 2016!
Because a piece of stale crust is better than having to go out and buy your own loaf.

5. I have been consistent and invented the term 10% of somehting is better than 100% of nothing

slow and steady always wins the race

getting their fast means it don't last

I can't say I am a fan of anything Bernie has to offer anymore. Being that he couldn't articulate
any actual path to getting even 1% of anything he wants.
That daily news interview and others he stammered and hemmed and did the Jackie Gleason
hummina hummina but could not in any way say how he would achieve it.
(which means it was all just sound bytes).

The revolution was won in 2008. I want to keep that..

Bernie is like Nader and one goes so far to the left that they run into the extreme right demagogues like Ron and Rand Paul

6. You keep strolling along at 10% while the rest of us crank out 100%.

Don't bother looking for us at the finish line. We will have moved on to the after-party of the victory celebration by the time you come waddling up.

7. Meanwhile, Hillary clinched the race and has won. Will Bernie even be reelected in 2 years?

Will he be running in the Democratic party or was that another lie told by Bernie(that he was now a lifetime Democratic party person after for years he famously said he wasn't?) talk about an ultimate flip-flop

whenever it was convenient.

That says a lot about dems.

18. Same as every single major vote, Ron Paul voted with the Republicans and so does Rand Paul

There are no independents. Just people who say they are.

Each person knows if they want to defeat a or b, or make sure a or b defeats b or a

Just like Ross Perot

He didn't hate the Bush politics. He had a personal grudge against 41.

In 2000 and 2004, he voted for and supported W.
In 2016, he would have done the same for Jeb.

10. It's the difference between Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas vs. Sotomayor & Ginsburg

and even worse, the ennui with not caring about the courts at all

More and more, I am reminded of driving on a highway, and all of a sudden there is a 10 mile backup,
and it is caused by those slowing down to look at an accident on the other side of the road.

or it's just noise because of the 40 year Javert like Obsession against Jean Valjean or
the Lt. Gerard fixation on Dr. Kimball. The rightwing conspiracy against Hillary and Bill Clinton.

If the voters had been there in 1992, Bill would not have been the nominee?
Why didn't uber-liberal Mario Cuomo get on that airplane that was waiting to jet him into NH in 1992?
Why didn't anyone else run?
Jerry Brown came close, (I voted for him), but why didn't more people vote for him if Bill was so bad?

and what riches did Bill accumulate in his governor and Presidential years?
They were dirt broke. they didn't even own their own house until after the WH years?

all 100% smears against the Clinton's all debunked, all as untrue

so it's just noise

Hillary won fair and square.
and 2026 is the number needed of regular delegates (before the super delegates which shall be announced at the same time at the convention. Not after. But in tandem. Like in 2008 and every year prior.

Bernie is just fundraising, same as Nader, same as Ron Paul. Same as Rand Paul
nothing more, nothing less.

Team Democratic party 4Ever!

...it's a fight for the heart and soul of the Democratic Party...

12. President Obama won big time. The Democratic party loves Barack Obama and his agenda

and the great voters of the Democratic party have spoken loud and clear that they love President
Obama and his agenda and want it continued unabashed forever.

Bernie can't even get 40% of the voters. He is under 40. Like all the other far left extreme candidates of the past.
Anyone talk about Paul Tsongas or Bill Bradley anymore (except perhaps for basketball fans?)

The fight is long over.

The revolution was won in 2008 and reaffirmed in 2012.

this is just noise to get the Republicans back in office and the courts to not switch over.

Whatever President Obama wants is 100% okay with me. Because President Obama is not a poser.
He is the real thing. The Original one and only.

Of course, many people fought against FDR too, those people wanted Wilkie (who campaigned against the rich FDR and said he was incorruptible.) (that is for all people who namedrop FDR without having a clue as to what
FDR actually was.
(BTW- Hillary is Eleanor Roosevelt).

Paul Tsongas won more primaries than Brown. Brown couldnt even win his OWN state!

13. Is Hillary even on the correct side of 10% of the issues?

For a DLC'er, that would be about average, but she's to the right of most of them, even.

Let's see.....

Economic policy? Nope, she sides with Wall Street.

Foreign policy? Completely on the side of NuttyYahoo and the "defense" industry.

Environmental policy? Supports fracking, the Keystone death pipe, and offshore oil drilling.

Trade policy? Called SHAFTA the "gold standard".

Supreme court? Lied and said she agreed with Bernie that all future justices should oppose Shittizens United, then said she would support Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland, the Republican judge who is known for being a pro Shittizens United corporatist. And probably has that fascist piece of shit Cass Sunstein on speed dial already to be her next pick, if she's in office.

Wage issues? Won't support $15, but she thinks $12 is an improvement. OK... will be generous and give her half a point for that, since the teabaggers want it reduced to ZERO.

College tuition? What?? We can't eliminate student debt! How would her friends in the Wall Street banks afford their 12th mansion??

So half a point out of all the major issues? Not a very promising outlook for a candidate.

14. If Wall Street were brought down, who would the food delivery people deliver to?

Who would the people who make the paper plates and cups that the food delivery people deliver to?

Who would the farmers who make the vegetables that go in the food that delivery people deliver to sell
their food to?

Might as well get rid of all the farmers if one brings Wall Street to a halt.
Because there would be no one left to buy their goods.

Life is a community.
