Jill Stein is Not Anti-Science, People!

Another email leak from the neoliberal think tank has revealed a calculated agenda to slander Green Party presidential nominee Dr. Jill Stein with rumors that they know to be entirely unfounded, further illustrating just how terrified the Democratic party is of a progressive takeover. Professional neoliberal Robert Naiman circulated a list of attack editorials against Stein among his drooling lackeys, prefaced by the following statement.

“If you have a lot of Facebook friends, you may have recently noticed a high level of activity on your Facebook feed by Jill Stein acolytes.

If so, you may find the following links useful to throw them off their game. No warranty, express or implied. You don’t have to prove that Jill Stein is an anti-science conspiracy theorist. You just have to say, ‘There are unanswered questions about whether Jill Stein is an anti-science conspiracy theorist.'”

In other words, “Deliberately cast baseless suspicion on her.”

So I hope that clarifies what’s happening here a bit. If you’re one of the people going around flinging the term “anti-science” around in connection with Jill Stein’s name, those may feel like your own thoughts, and you may even labor under the delusion that you came up with them yourself, but in actuality they are a pre-packaged mind-virus cooked up by professional slander experts like Robert Naiman. A little critical thinking is all it takes to inoculate yourself, though.

Things like this are why I say that this is my last election. What is the point of getting your hopes up for anyone if the Party is going to choose for you? What chance does another candidate have against the Clinton machine?

Yes, I know. Trump is a disastrous choice and if I had to I'd vote for her. But that doesn't mean I like it one goddamned bit.

Politics make me sick.

4. True, though. She's less relevant to this election than the Libertarians.

That's saying something....

6. The topic is not about whether or not she's relevant, genius.

It's about the lies and machinations of the machine. I fucking hate it. If that makes me irrelevant, good.

She might not be "anti science"
But she sure isn't scientifically literate.

7. Like you are?

Are you one of those Luddites who thinks global warming is a myth?

9. I have a background in oceanography and a fisheries degree, so when it comes to climate change, yes.

"global warming is a myth"...

First off, "global warming" is an incorrect way to refer to climate change.
Do I deny climate change is happening? Of course not, its happened here for billions of years.
Does Jill Stein know the cause of this current climate trend and what to do to stop it?
No.

Aside from the climate change issue, Jill Stein also does not seem to understand the concept of "sustainable resources".

13. Well

AFAIK the notion of "sustainable resources" is more or less based on classical physics, and I like to think quantum weird beats classical physics. Stein's expertise is not theoretical physics or even planetology, she's just a Harvard MD, so that's forgivable.

What is your understanding of the concept "sustainable resources"?

21. As far as fisheries, very good.

I worked as the harvest manager of a large sustainable salmon fishery for a number of years.
"Impact neutral" is a term I'm intimately familiar with.
Sustainable resources are first and foremost a study in biology and biostatistics.

Obviously.

20. I never said I was an expert, but Oceanography does deal a lot with the climate and climate change

More than sociology, anthropology, and the medical sciences.

22. Not in so many words, but you certainly imply it. Why mention it otherwise?

I have a background in oceanography and a fisheries degree, so when it comes to climate change, yes.

23. Because you don't need to be an expert to know that Jill Stein has very little background

in climate change.
Do you even remember what we are discussing?

11. Some knee-jerk Hillary zombies here immediately lash out with "anti-vaxxer"

whenever her name comes up, despite her repeated denials of being against the treatment of disease with vaccines. That zombie mob group mind manufacturing of smears are one reason why I will not be voting for Hillary. I don't like what's happened to the party in this election cycle.

16. It is appalling.

Just the responses on this thread - they don't address the fact that this was a deliberate smear - their only response is "who cares?" or "she's irrelevant." It fucking makes me sick.

Attention Hillbots - if you can, please address the deliberate smear manufactured by the Clinton campaign. Address the lies, not Jill Stein's relevancy. That is, if you can. We'll wait...

12. The reality is that Jill is now the only PRO-Science candidate currently on the ballot

Drumpf files legal motions to get his own properties protected from global warming in his private business, but denies it as a politician. As does his tobacco loving, science deying, Koch whore of a running mate.

Hillary claims to believe in science, and then adds Tim Kaine & Ken Salazar to her campaign, both of whom openly shill for polluters. Science deniers or Science "we know, but we still don't give a shit"ters.... which is worse??

Gary Johnson? He could care less, because according to his hero, the god hating serial killer groupie Ayn Rand.....

....the amazing picture of a man with no regard whatsoever for all that a society holds sacred, and with a consciousness all his own. He has the true, innate psychology of a Superman. A man who really stands alone, in action and in soul. … Other people do not exist for him, and he does not see why they should.

So any thinking, rational person who believes in science would have to vote for Jill Stein.

14. Oh fuck

it's true, Johnson is one of them Ayn-loonies:

I view government in the same way as philosopher Ayn Rand. (Aug 2012)

Gave fiancee "Atlas Shrugged" to explain his politics. (Aug 2012)

What's with Americans and Very Bad Philosophers? There are also very good and excellent American philosophers.
