Anyone going to get drunk? What a stupid tradition.

1. I've never been drunk a single time in my entire life.

2. I went down to Trinidad, CO this week

Buddy of mine got drunk, had to rescue him from the cops. I'm too old to get drunk, a few drinks is fine.

3. I'll occasionally try a drink out of curiousity to see what it tastes like. It's a rare drink that

doesn't make me think, "This would taste better without alcohol".

5. I've tried dry champagne and really didn't like it.

I've tasted hard cider before. My reaction: "They really ruined this apple juice".

7. Get outta here!

For real???

OMG. You don't know what you're missing.

Slurred words...acting like a fool...pissing yourself...vomiting on your shoes...

then the next morning you got the happy hangover

er...never mind. I guess that's a reason why I haven't been drunk in over 30 years.

Low tolerance for alcohol. That's why I don't really drink now. Maybe a very small cream sherry once a year, but that's it.

anyway, it's way more fun to watch others make asses of themselves.

6. buncha wet blankets

Of course I've always agreed it's silly. Except this year.

Since I learned last month that the martyrs of the 1916 Easter Rising, Patrick Pearse and Willie Pearse, were the second cousins of my great-grandfather's brother's wife.

So anyway, I think that means I get free drinks all day. I'm sure it does. Line 'em up!!

8. No drinking...gonna focus

on the food part.

Small ham, cabbage, taters, carrots

all cooked up in my handydandy electronic pressure cooker. Best cooking appliance ever.

PS...and NO green food.
