Lefty delusions lead to a dark road

His first protest ever cost him his career, reputation and sense of self

When Adam Smith got in his car, drove up to a Chick-fil-A drive through window and began confronting an employee about LGBT rights, he thought he was doing something positive.

For him, it was one step in undoing anti-gay messaging he says he was taught as a child.

But his first act of protest ever would soon cause his life to unravel.

Smith filmed the 2012 encounter in Tucson, Arizona as part of a larger demonstration against the fast food chain. Its chairman, president and CEO Dan T. Cathy — a noted Christian — had publicly said he was "guilty as charged" for backing the "biblical definition of family," and donated money to groups believed to be anti-gay.

This sparked a backlash, including a call for people to film themselves ordering a large water at Chick-fil-A and, if denied, cite the Bible passage, "If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink." If the employee then gave out the water for free, the challenge suggested, the participant would succeed in taking money away from the company.

1. His only regret was being identified as a Demomarxist.

“Smith regretted how he expressed his views to the Chick-fil-A employee”

2. Chapter and verse on the "Biblical" definition of family?

For example, in the OT, the most beloved by God were Abraham, chosen by God to found Judaism, and David, chosen by God to be the ancestor of Joseph, the man who raised Jesus. Each of Abraham and David has a very interesting family story, albeit not one that a pastor today would consider a "traditional" or even mildly acceptable family.

But, I digress (maybe).

Someone please tell me the Chapter and verse of the Bible that contains a definition of family. Thank you in advance.

4. Um, no. That is not a definition of family. It is not even a full definition of a marriage.

Abraham's wife, of course, was his half sister. So, he didn't really have to wander all that far away from his/their parents. And, when a ruler desired Abraham's sister-wife (as opposed to sister wife), Abraham denied he was married to her, leaving her to fend for herself against the ruler (who, I am guessing, then had his way with her which Abraham could have avoided if he had placed his own fear above his wife's safety). And then, Abraham slept with his slave...until his wife finally gave him a son. He then tried to offer his son with his wife to God as a human sacrifice. Meanwhile, he turned his female slave and their infant son out of his home to find for themselves. Guess what their chances were back then?

Anyway, that is but one Biblical family story of many, but no actual Biblical definition of family.

ETA: BTW, chapter and verse would be Genesis 2:24 (KJV)

6. BS, That is the very essence of the Nuclear Family

Thats Biblical AND Natural. That is Reality, not Nonsense about Men putting on Dresses and Magically Becoming Women or "Gay Marriage" is Equal to Marriage.

Reality is what it is

7. Sorry, no. That is not a Biblical definition of marriage, let alone of "family."

And, even if it were, if the Bible is to be believed, God was apparently extremely tolerant of, um, family situations that did not fit that alleged definition.

12. when it comes to lefty, I don't share your sense of humanity.

These are people who would have me stripped of my rights and caged if they had their way.
I'll afford them no quarter when it comes to mercy.
I won't wish harm on them, but if it happens in the commission of fascism, so be it.
