Millennial poll: America racist, not great, Obama better than Washington

This is actually scary when you think about it

Younger Americans are turning on the country and forgetting its ideals, with nearly half believing that it isn’t “great” and many eyeing the U.S. flag as “a sign of intolerance and hatred,” according to a new and disturbing survey.

Those who came of age under former President Barack Obama also have a larger-than-life view of the 44th president and feel that he had a “bigger impact” on the United States than the father of the country and leader of the Revolutionary War, former President George Washington.

The YouGov.com poll was the first “State of American Patriotism” survey conducted for the Foundation for Liberty and American Greatness. The group educates Americans, especially grades K-12, about the country’s “values and principles that make our nation exceptional.”

1. Theyre millennials, nobody listens to them any way.

They think they know so much but they have accomplished so little.

Remember Generation X? Yeah, they thought they knew so much and then life happened.

The millennials can come back and talk to us in 10 years when they have accomplished something.

3. If they are determined to be ruthlessly governed by others let it be us.

We will be much more competent masters than they could hope for and far kinder than they deserve.

4. What is the baseline they're comparing the results to? Its not referenced in the article.

I'd be interested to see results for previous generations. If you're going to claim things are on the decline, I'd like to see what its in decline from.

8. Exactly...

I'm Gen-x and didn't have an opinion or interest in politics until well into my 30's. My politics have been across the board since then.

Take the same poll every 10 years going back 50 and I'd guess you'll be likely to get the same type of results to similar questions.

This seems to be nothing more than click bait for the ill-informed.

10. ...

“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”-Socrates

7. I have nephews

who are millennials.

They don't know how to have a relationship with anybody. They have drinking buddies. They know girls they can "hook up" with but to sit down and talk to a person is hard work for them. Every event has pot and booze and their goal is to get wasted. They want everything now and if it's not perfect they get pissed. Almost all the millennial kids I know are on some kind of medication for anxiety or depression. The I-phone is part of their hand and is never more than 5 feet away from them.

Their news comes from late night comedians and reddit. They all have master degrees and are living with Mom and Dad. They are pissed when they see their dope of a cousin (Trump fan) is a plumber and making 100K a year and has a condo at Mammoth Mountain.

Antifa is the classic millennials. This not their fault they were pushed too far and you have this coming. The two young woman in Seattle with Sanders. The thousands in the street after the 2016 election

and this one..........

Two big things I see.
1. Ungrateful.
2. Unhappy.

Money = happiness..... NO
Money + fame = happiness...... NO
Money + fame + looks = happiness........ No
Money + fame + looks + drugs = happiness........ No

Now their pushing 30 years old and they're still ungrateful, unhappy and alone. At Thanksgiving I saw 5 of them sitting on the couch texting on their phones with people in their 90's in the next room who would love to spend time with them.

All very sad.

11. Millennials are lazy, contemptuous pieces of human crap. Go ask employers to have to hire these

jerks. My wife has hired them as nurses and caregivers. They complain about everything, then if you say something to them, they go to HR and whine--"he, she is not being fair to me." BTW, that person you were posting to doesn't seem to get that antecedent topics or references don't always have to be detonated in writing in an article. We live and watch and learn and conclude. But, then, ace we are now getting Headers regarding why Americans can't make biscuits anymore... Interesting--NOT.
